In Win Development Inc. (InWin), a player in the PC enthusiast and gaming hardware industry, has recently launched its latest creation, the D5 E-ATX mid-tower PC chassis. This new offering is specifically designed to cater to the needs of PC builders who prioritize optimized airflow, a sensible layout, and versatile hardware installment.

One of the standout features of the D5 is its tool-less quick-release panels, which allow for easy access and hassle-free upgrades. This means that PC builders can effortlessly make adjustments to their system internals without the need for any additional tools. Additionally, the chassis boasts a rotatable PCI-E mounting bracket, which adds to its versatility by accommodating dual-GPU systems, multi-PCI-E card configurations, and even potential future upgrades with larger cards.

The D5 doesn’t compromise on cooling either. Its full mesh front and top panels ensure optimal airflow to keep the internal components running smoothly. To further enhance cooling performance, InWin has included a removable cable shield on the motherboard tray, which not only manages cable clutter effectively but also channels and concentrates airflow towards the main hardware. With mounting areas for three front fans, three top fans, and one rear fan, the D5 offers excellent air-cooling opportunities. It also supports Liquid Cooling with compatibility for both 360 mm and 280/360 mm radiators.

To match the sleek all-black aesthetic of the chassis, InWin has bundled a Neptune AN120 ARGB fan as a starting point for PC builders. This fan not only offers exceptional performance with a low noise level of just 20.5 dBA nominal but also provides a maximum airflow of up to 60 CFM.

In terms of accessibility and hardware installation options, InWin has made sure to prioritize user convenience. The tool-less quick-release side panels make accessing the PC a breeze, allowing for comprehensive upgrades or quick adjustments to the internals. The modular and rotatable PCI-E mounting bracket is a welcome addition for those with dual-GPU systems or multi-PCI-E card configurations. Additionally, a magnetic GPU holder is provided to support heavier Graphics Cards.

Keeping the workspace clutter-free is made possible with the cleverly concealed headphone hanger, ensuring that PC users can keep their setup organized and ready for action. The front I/O is conveniently mounted on the top of the chassis, making it easily accessible for users who prefer to keep their PCs beneath their desks. It features a high-performance USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C connector, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and a 3.5 mm HD audio combo jack.

Despite its mid-tower form factor, the D5 doesn’t compromise on hardware compatibility. It supports premium E-ATX motherboards up to 12×10″, large ATX PSUs up to 180 mm, GPUs up to 365 mm in length, and air cooling heatsinks up to 165 mm high. Furthermore, the motherboard tray is designed to accommodate the latest ASUS BTF and MSI Project Zero motherboards with backside connectivity.
