InWin, a leading innovator in PC enthusiast and gaming hardware, has recently released its D5 E-ATX mid-tower PC chassis. Designed for PC builders seeking optimized airflow, sensible layout, and versatile hardware installation, the D5 offers a convenient and high-performance building experience.

One of the standout features of the D5 is its excellent cooling capabilities. The full mesh front and top panels ensure optimal cooling for the internal components. Additionally, the removable cable shield on the motherboard tray not only manages cable clutter effectively but also channels and concentrates airflow towards the main hardware.

The D5 provides ample opportunities for air-cooling with mounting areas for three front fans, three top fans, and one rear fan. It also supports Liquid Cooling with compatibility for both 360 mm and 280/360 mm radiators. To kickstart the cooling setup, InWin includes a Neptune AN120 ARGB fan that offers exceptional performance-to-noise ratio.

When it comes to accessing and installing hardware, the D5 offers great convenience. The tool-less quick-release side panels make it incredibly easy to access the PC for upgrades or adjustments. The modular, rotatable PCI-E mounting bracket is perfect for dual-GPU systems or multi-PCI-E card configurations. InWin also provides a magnetic GPU holder to support heavier Graphics Cards.

To keep the workspace tidy, the D5 features a cleverly concealed headphone hanger. The front I/O is conveniently mounted on the top, making it easily accessible for users who keep their PCs beneath desks. The front I/O includes a high-performance USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C connector, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and a 3.5 mm HD audio combo jack.

Despite being a mid-tower, the D5 can accommodate powerful hardware. It supports premium E-ATX motherboards up to 12×10″, large ATX PSUs up to 180 mm, GPUs up to 365 mm in length, and air cooling heatsinks up to 165 mm high. The motherboard tray even supports the latest ASUS BTF and MSI Project Zero motherboards with backside connectivity.

Technology Explained

GPU: GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit and is a specialized type of processor designed to handle graphics-intensive tasks. It is used in the computer industry to render images, videos, and 3D graphics. GPUs are used in gaming consoles, PCs, and mobile devices to provide a smooth and immersive gaming experience. They are also used in the medical field to create 3D models of organs and tissues, and in the automotive industry to create virtual prototypes of cars. GPUs are also used in the field of artificial intelligence to process large amounts of data and create complex models. GPUs are becoming increasingly important in the computer industry as they are able to process large amounts of data quickly and efficiently.

Liquid Cooling: Liquid cooling is a technology used to cool down computer components, such as processors, graphics cards, and other components that generate a lot of heat. It works by circulating a liquid coolant, such as water or a special coolant, through a series of pipes and radiators. The liquid absorbs the heat from the components and then dissipates it into the air. This technology is becoming increasingly popular in the computer industry due to its ability to provide more efficient cooling than traditional air cooling methods. Liquid cooling can also be used to overclock components, allowing them to run at higher speeds than their rated speeds. This technology is becoming increasingly popular in the gaming industry, as it allows gamers to get the most out of their hardware.
