Noctua releases highly anticipated NH-D15 G2 flagship CPU cooler and NF-A14x25r G2 round-frame fans, boasting improved performance, compatibility, and refinement.
- Improved quiet cooling performance
- Enhanced compatibility with offset construction
- Refined design and components for exceptional user experience
Noctua, the CPU cooler and fan manufacturer, has finally released its highly anticipated NH-D15 G2 flagship model CPU cooler and NF-A14x25r G2 round-frame 140 mm fans. These new products build upon the success of their predecessors, the NH-D15 and NF-A15 fans, by incorporating Noctua’s latest technologies and undergoing meticulous refinement to deliver even better quiet cooling performance.
According to Roland Mossig, the CEO of Noctua, the development of these G2 products has been a labor of love that spanned several years. He expressed his excitement in finally being able to offer them to customers. Mossig emphasized the dedication and perseverance that went into creating these fans and Coolers, and he believes that users will be able to sense it when they hold them in their hands.
The NH-D15 G2 is the second generation of Noctua’s iconic NH-D15 cooler. It boasts state-of-the-art NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fans with speed-offset technology, eight heatpipes, and asymmetrical fin-stacks that have been carefully fine-tuned to work seamlessly with the new fans. As a result, it achieves even better quiet cooling performance than its award-winning predecessor. In fact, the G2 version is a true flagship model that pushes the boundaries of air cooling and rivals the efficiency of many All-in-One (AIO) water cooling solutions.
In addition to its improved performance, the NH-D15 G2 offers enhanced compatibility thanks to its offset construction. This design allows it to clear the top PCIe x16 slot on most current motherboards. Noctua has also upgraded the G2 version with the Torx-based SecuFirm2+ multi-socket mounting system, which includes an NM-SD1 screwdriver, as well as their superior NT-H2 thermal compound. Essentially, every aspect of the NH-D15 G2, from the heatsink and fans to the mounting system and thermal paste, has been refined to provide an exceptional user experience. And with Noctua’s trusted 6-year manufacturer’s warranty, it’s no wonder that the NH-D15 G2 is the top choice for customers seeking the best air cooling solution.
Noctua has taken platform-specific optimization to a whole new level with the NH-D15 G2. It is available in three versions: the regular NH-D15 G2, the HBC (High Base Convexity) variant, and the LBC (Low Base Convexity) variant. The regular version is a versatile option that works optimally on AM5 with the included offset mounting and on LGA-1700 CPUs when utilizing the included NM-ISW1 shim washers. The HBC variant is specifically optimized for LGA-1700 processors that require full ILM pressure or have become permanently deformed over time. Finally, the LBC variant is designed for relatively flat CPUs, offering excellent contact quality on AMD AM5 and other comparable flat CPUs.
For customers who wish to upgrade their existing Noctua heatsinks, such as the first-generation NH-D15, NH-D15S, or NH-U14S series coolers, Noctua is also offering the new round-frame NF-A14x25r G2 fans separately. These fans come in both a single fan package and a dual fan package for push-pull configurations. The fans included in the dual fan package are fine-tuned with a 50rpm speed offset to prevent acoustic interaction phenomena.
Noctua has also announced that a square frame version of the NF-A14x25 G2 fan, suitable for water cooling radiators and case cooling applications, is scheduled for release in September.
As for performance claims, Noctua provides detailed graphs and data on their website. However, it’s important to note that some of the graphs do not start at zero, which could visually skew the results.
If you’re interested in purchasing any of these products, you can find more information on Noctua’s website, including the suggested retail prices. The NH-D15 G2 and its variants are priced at EUR 149.90 / USD 149.90, while the NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fans are priced at EUR 39.90 / USD 39.90 for a single fan package and EUR 79.80 / USD 79.80 for a dual fan package.
Noctua’s NH-D15 G2 and NF-A14x25r G2 fans are the result of years of dedication and innovation. With their enhanced performance, compatibility, and refinement, they are poised to become the go-to choice for users who demand the best air cooling experience.
