  • Exceptional cooling performance
  • Sleek and stealthy all-black aesthetic
  • Compatible with compact and high-performance builds

Noctua, the manufacturer of high-performance cooling solutions, has expanded its chromax.black line with the introduction of an all-black version of its NH-D12L CPU cooler. Building upon the success of the original model, the new chromax.black variant features black fans and a black coated heatsink, offering not only exceptional cooling performance but also a sleek and stealthy aesthetic.

According to Roland Mossig, CEO of Noctua, the NH-D12L has gained popularity among enthusiasts who opt for compact and high-performance builds in cases like the Lian Li O11 Dynamic or the DAN C4-SFX. With the introduction of the chromax.black version, Noctua is now providing customers with the option to enjoy the NH-D12L’s quiet cooling performance in all-black systems.

The NH-D12L chromax.black is essentially an all-black version of Noctua’s NH-D12L low-height 120 mm class CPU cooler. It has been specifically designed to combine exceptional cooling performance with superior case compatibility. The new chromax.black variant retains all the features and capabilities of the award-winning regular model, with the only difference being its striking black color scheme. From the black coated heatsink to the black fan, anti-vibration-pads, fan clips, and mounting parts, this cooler exudes an all-black elegance.

Through meticulous optimizations of the coating material and process, the chromax.black model delivers the same exceptional cooling performance as its non-coated counterpart. Despite its compact height of only 145 mm (13 mm lower than Noctua’s regular 120 mm models), the NH-D12L chromax.black can fit into various 4U enclosures and narrower tower cases that were previously limited to solutions with 92 mm fans. Its five heatpipe dual-tower design and state-of-the-art NF-A12x25r 120 mm fan enable it to achieve an efficiency level that surpasses many full-height 120 mm models. Additionally, the NH-D12L’s single-fan configuration and asymmetrical fin stacks ensure 100% RAM compatibility on AMD AM5/AM4 and Intel LGA1851/1700/1200 platforms, as it stays clear of the memory slots.

The NH-D12L chromax.black is complemented by Noctua’s SecuFirm2 mounting system, the award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound, and an impressive 6-year manufacturer’s warranty. This makes it the ideal choice for applications that demand serious cooling performance but are unable to accommodate larger Coolers like the NH-U12A.

For more information about the NH-D12L chromax.black, visit Noctua’s product page. The suggested retail price for this exceptional CPU cooler is set at EUR 109.90 / USD 99.90.
