AMD introduces wallet-friendly Radeon RX 6750 GRE variants boasting impressive 10GB and 12GB capacities

AMD has released two versions of the Radeon RX 6750 GRE graphics cards with different specifications, causing confusion among gamers due to the identical names.

AMD has officially launched the Radeon RX 6750 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) Graphics Cards in China, confirming the rumors that have been circulating. However, what’s causing confusion among gamers is that AMD has released two different versions of the RX 6750 GRE with conflicting specifications.

The Radeon RX 6750 GRE is based on the Navi 22 architecture and is specifically targeted at the sub-$300 market. The two variants of the card come with either 12GB or 10GB of memory, each with different Stream Processor counts.

The RX 6750 GRE 12GB variant features the Navi 22XT GPU with 2560 Stream Processors. It operates at clock speeds of 2439/2581 MHz, slightly lower than the RX 6750 XT. This model has a 192-bit memory bus and 12GB of memory running at 16 Gbps, resulting in a bandwidth of 384 GB/s. Its TBP (Total Board Power) is set at 230W.

On the other hand, the RX 6750 GRE 10GB variant features the Navi 22 GPU with 2304 Stream Processors and 10GB of memory using a 160-bit configuration, also running at 16 Gbps. It has a slightly lower bandwidth of 320 GB/s and clock speeds of 2189/2450 MHz.

It’s disappointing that AMD decided to use identical names for these two SKUs when they have significantly different specifications. The core count, clock speeds, power consumption, and memory configurations are all separate, which adds to the confusion.

It’s important to note that the available reviews are from Chinese media, and various custom models from manufacturers like XFX, PowerColor, and Sapphire are being introduced. There doesn’t seem to be a reference design planned for these cards, so the models featured in promotional materials are purely for marketing purposes.

AMD has provided pricing information for both the US and Chinese markets. The 12GB model is expected to cost $289, while the 10GB variant could launch at $269. These cards are expected to be available in the Chinese DIY market and through OEM/system integrators, similar to the RX 7900 GRE. The official launch is set for tomorrow.
