NVIDIA is set to launch the RTX 2000 ADA, a new graphics card with a potential TDP of 70W and 8GB of GDDR6 memory, targeting both enterprises and standard workstations.
- Efficient and cool operation with a potential TDP of 70W or below
- 8GB of GDDR6 memory for high-performance graphics
- Potential use of the AD104 model for improved PCIe support
nVidia is gearing up to release a new graphics card, the RTX 2000 “ADA,” which is based on the ADASixth workstation GPU. This model, part of the Ampere series, is the last SKU to be replaced. Although NVIDIA has not yet launched its RTX 2000 model, retailer listings suggest that it will be priced at around half of the RTX 4000 ADA model.
The upcoming launch will include two models: the NVIDIA RTX 2000E ADA and the NVIDIA RTX 2000 ADA. The former seems to target enterprises with long-term support, while the latter is designed as a standard workstation GPU. Unfortunately, specific details regarding the changes in specifications are still unclear.
In terms of design, the RTX 2000 ADA will adopt the cooling system from its counterpart, the RTX 4000 SFF (Small Form Factor). Notably, this new model will not require any external power sources, indicating a potential TDP (thermal design power) equal to or below 70W. This ensures both efficiency and cool operation.
According to leaked product listings, the RTX 2000 ADA will feature 8GB of GDDR6 memory. Additionally, it is worth noting that the PCIe support is listed as 4.0×16. However, if this model uses the AD106 GPU, the PCIe support would be limited to 8 lanes. Assuming this information is accurate, it suggests that the RTX 2000 ADA may utilize the AD104 model.
NVIDIA is expected to officially announce this new graphics card next week. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting release.
