Zotac introduces Compact Zbox PCs Powered by Desktop and Laptop GeForce RTX 4070s

Zotac has launched two new compact desktops, the Zbox Magnus One and Zbox Magnus, both equipped with NVIDIA's high-performance GeForce RTX 4070-series graphics processors, offering impressive gaming capabilities in a small form factor.

Zotac, the manufacturer of compact desktops, has launched two new additions to its lineup. The Zbox Magnus One and Zbox Magnus are both equipped with nVidia’s high-performance Geforce RTX 4070-series graphics processors, offering impressive gaming capabilities in a small form factor.

Starting with the Zbox Magnus One, this desktop-style SFF (small form factor) machine boasts an 8.3-liter chassis, making it slightly larger than your average compact desktop. However, its size is justified by the power it packs. Inside, you’ll find a desktop GeForce RTX 4070 card with 12 GB of GDDR6X memory, delivering exceptional graphics performance. The machine also supports up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, two M.2-2280 SSDs with PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, and a 2.5-inch drive with a SATA interface.

Connectivity options on the Zbox Magnus One are plentiful. It features a Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.2 adapter, a 2.5 GbE Killer-enabled port, a regular GbE port, Thunderbolt 4 support, and an array of USB 3.0/3.1 connectors. Additionally, it offers five display outputs, including three DP 1.4a and one HDMI 2.1 on the graphics card, as well as an HDMI port on the motherboard. The inclusion of a TRRS audio connector for headsets further enhances the overall experience.

While the Zbox Magnus One may not be the smallest compact desktop out there, it compensates for its size with upgradability. Users have the option to install a more powerful 65W CPU and upgrade the graphics card, as long as the 500W 80+ Platinum-badged power supply can handle it. Zotac will offer the Zbox Magnus One in both barebones and fully-configured options, with Windows pre-installed for convenience.

Moving on to the Zbox Magnus, this tiny machine is comparable in size and construction to Intel’s NUC (Next Unit of Computing). It features a soldered-down GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, which offers slightly lower performance than its desktop counterpart but operates within a lower thermal envelope. The Zbox Magnus is powered by Intel’s Core i7-13700HX CPU and comes with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.

Despite its compact size, the Zbox Magnus doesn’t compromise on connectivity. It includes a Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.2 adapter, a 2.5 GbE Killer-enabled port, a GbE connector, Thunderbolt 4 support, and multiple USB 3.1 ports. Display options consist of two DisplayPorts and one HDMI port. Similar to its larger sibling, it also features an SD card reader with UHS-II support and a TRRS audio connector for headsets.

Due to its use of soldered-down mobile components, the Zbox Magnus cannot be upgraded by end-users. However, its compact dimensions of 210 mm × 203 mm × 62.2 mm make it an attractive option for those seeking a powerful yet space-saving desktop solution. Like all Zotac PCs, the Zbox Magnus will be available as both a barebones system and a complete package with memory, SSD, and Windows pre-installed.
