The highly anticipated RTX 4080 SUPER GPU, priced at $999, is currently sold out at major US retailers and only available for in-store pickup, possibly due to the scarcity of its non-SUPER counterpart and limited information on future shipments, while European retailers have listed it at or near the MSRP of €1,109.
- Highly anticipated release
- Quickly becoming a hot commodity among gamers
- Availability in Europe at or near MSRP
nVidia’s highly anticipated RTX 4080 SUPER GPU, which hit the market with a price tag of $999, has quickly become a hot commodity among gamers. Surprisingly, just a week after its release, the card is nowhere to be found at major US retailers for online orders at its original MSRP.
While some retailers like BestBuy and Microcenter do offer a few models at the suggested retail price, these are only available for in-store pickup. The most affordable option currently available is priced at $1,123, which is higher than the original price.
One possible reason for the limited availability of the RTX 4080 SUPER could be the ongoing scarcity of its non-SUPER counterpart, the RTX 4080. For several weeks now, finding the RTX 4080 at its original $1,200 price point has been quite challenging, even before the SUPER models were introduced.
Unfortunately, none of the retailers we’ve checked, including official US stores for major board partners, have any MSRP models of the RTX 4080 SUPER in stock. Furthermore, there is no information available regarding future shipments of these cards. However, in Europe, the situation seems to be more promising, with several retailers listing the cards at or near the MSRP of €1,109.
It’s worth noting that as of now, there doesn’t seem to be any supply issues with the RTX 4070 SUPER and RTX 4070 TI SUPER. These cards are readily available for purchase.
