Synology C2 offers two services for organizations in need of cloud backup: C2 Storage and C2 Backup. Additionally, C2 Storage facilitates file synchronization between different offices, enabling cross-site collaboration for teams.

EA131 serves over 13,500 students across 23 schools and relies on Microsoft 365 for storing important data in OneDrive and Outlook. However, the school district needed a backup solution that could retain data for longer periods than the built-in retention policy allowed. Most enterprise-grade backup options were costly and required extensive employee training.

By implementing C2 Backup for Business, EA131 was able to configure automatic backup tasks for thousands of Microsoft 365 accounts, saving time-stamped versions of each account at regular intervals. They also established automatic backups for all employee email accounts and set district-wide retention policies to align with their goals.
