From the powerful Intel Core Ultra Processor to a suite of AI features, the Galaxy Book4 series is packed with technology that aims to simplify and amplify users’ computing experience.

At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, held in Barcelona, Spain from February 26-29, visitors had the opportunity to discover the full capabilities of the Galaxy Book4 series at Samsung’s booth. To delve deeper into the advancements of this series, Samsung Newsroom sat down with Mincheol Lee, Head of Galaxy Eco Biz Team, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, and David Feng, Vice President of Client Computing Group and General Manager of Client Segments at Intel.

The Galaxy Book4 Ultra and Pro series showcase unprecedented performance thanks to the new Intel Core Ultra processor. This processor combines the latest CPU, GPU, and NPU (neural processing unit) to deliver excellent multitasking and graphics performance. The built-in NPU, Intel AI Boost, enables fast and efficient processing of large amounts of data, unlocking new AI functions that enhance productivity and offer new experiences in content creation and gaming. Additionally, users can conveniently access various AI functions from the Galaxy S24 series on a large PC screen through the Link to Windows feature.

One key highlight of the Intel Core Ultra Processor is the newly added NPU. This NPU allows for low-power sustained AI workloads, freeing up the CPU and GPU for other system tasks without sacrificing system responsiveness or battery life. Intel’s goal is to empower everyone with AI on PCs, and the Intel Core Ultra processor with its three AI engines (CPU, GPU, and NPU) is a significant step in that direction.

The Galaxy Book4 series doesn’t stop at performance improvements. It also offers an optimized PC experience through collaborations with industry-leading partners like Intel and Microsoft. The latest Core Ultra processor from Intel, combined with Samsung’s advanced hardware, supports better power efficiency and an improved cooling system. The series features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that guarantees a clear viewing experience in any environment, with touchscreen functionality for added convenience. The anti-reflective display reduces glare, while the Vision Booster automatically adjusts color contrast and brightness even in direct sunlight.

With Samsung’s Galaxy Ecosystem, the Galaxy Book4 series enables powerful connected use of PCs, phones, and Tablets—all protected by Samsung Knox. This security solution safeguards critical system data through 10 years of accumulated security technology and dedicated security chips.

The collaboration between Samsung Electronics and Intel for the Galaxy Book4 series aimed to deliver the best PC experience to consumers. Intel’s approach to ecosystem development emphasizes openness, and the launch of this series strengthens their collaboration while exploring new opportunities for disruptive innovation in the PC industry. Samsung and Intel share the goal of advancing customers’ product usage experience by continuously improving the fundamental competitiveness of PCs, such as performance, mobility, and connectivity.

The collaboration process for developing the latest Galaxy Book series had its challenges, but the teams at Intel and Samsung worked closely together to create the best platform and develop key applications that bring AI experiences to life. The result is a seamless integration of AI capabilities into the Galaxy Book4 series.

Intel’s vision in collaborating with Samsung Electronics is to bring consumers the best products, technology, and experiences. They appreciate Samsung’s focus on delivering superb user experiences through devices, accessories, and a software ecosystem. The launch of the Galaxy Book4 series is a testament to the deep collaboration between these two industry leaders.

The impact of the new Galaxy Book4 series on the PC market is expected to be significant. With the PC market projected to grow worldwide in 2024, the introduction of AI PCs offers additional growth opportunities. The combination of Intel’s latest Core Ultra chipset and Samsung’s hardware heritage and connected ecosystem will provide a superb productivity experience as we enter a new era of AI PCs.
