  • GALAX is launching a special edition of the GeForce RTX 40 card
  • GALAX has an extensive lineup of RTX 40 cards, boasting a staggering 80 different models

Galax, a important tech company, is gearing up to unveil a new GPU tomorrow as part of its 20th-anniversary celebration. Alongside this exciting announcement, GALAX has also introduced a range of high-end PCIe Gen5 SSDs. While the release date is yet to be confirmed, there have been several teasers hinting at these products. As part of the anniversary festivities, GALAX will also be launching a special edition of the Geforce RTX 40 card.

Originally established in 1994 as “Galaxtech” in Hong Kong, GALAX now operates under different brand names across various countries. Gainward, KFA2, and XpertVision are among the brands owned by GALAX. Currently, GALAX primarily focuses on the Chinese market, where the new GPU is set to make its debut.

Although specific details about the upcoming model have not been disclosed by GALAX, the size and thickness of the cooler suggest that it could potentially be the RTX 4090. This design features three to four slots and two fans on the front side. Interestingly, the black rectangle on the right side is actually an open area in the front shroud, allowing air to escape from the third fan located on the opposite side. This design seems to be an extension of the nVidia Founders Edition design, possibly incorporating elements from the abandoned RTX 4090 Ti cooler, which included a concealed fan within the heatsink.

GALAX has an extensive lineup of RTX 40 cards, boasting a staggering 80 different models. With 14 RTX 4090 designs and counting, GALAX currently leads among all NVIDIA board partners. For more information on these models, you can refer to our database.

Technology Explained

Geforce: Geforce is a line of graphics processing units (GPUs) developed by Nvidia. It is the most popular GPU used in the computer industry today. Geforce GPUs are used in gaming PCs, workstations, and high-end laptops. They are also used in virtual reality systems, artificial intelligence, and deep learning applications. Geforce GPUs are designed to deliver high performance and power efficiency, making them ideal for gaming and other demanding applications. They are also capable of rendering high-resolution graphics and providing smooth, realistic visuals. Geforce GPUs are used in a variety of applications, from gaming to professional workstations, and are the preferred choice for many computer users.

GPU: GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit and is a specialized type of processor designed to handle graphics-intensive tasks. It is used in the computer industry to render images, videos, and 3D graphics. GPUs are used in gaming consoles, PCs, and mobile devices to provide a smooth and immersive gaming experience. They are also used in the medical field to create 3D models of organs and tissues, and in the automotive industry to create virtual prototypes of cars. GPUs are also used in the field of artificial intelligence to process large amounts of data and create complex models. GPUs are becoming increasingly important in the computer industry as they are able to process large amounts of data quickly and efficiently.

PCIe: PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) is a high-speed serial computer expansion bus standard for connecting components such as graphics cards, sound cards, and network cards to a motherboard. It is the most widely used interface in the computer industry today, and is used in both desktop and laptop computers. PCIe is capable of providing up to 16 times the bandwidth of the older PCI standard, allowing for faster data transfer speeds and improved performance. It is also used in a variety of other applications, such as storage, networking, and communications. PCIe is an essential component of modern computing, and its applications are only expected to grow in the future.

PCIe Gen5: PCIe Gen5, or PCI Express Generation 5, is the latest technology advancement in the computer industry. It is the first major upgrade to the current PCIe standard. Compared to PCIe Gen3, PCIe Gen5 increases bandwidth throughput that is almost double, resulting in faster data transfer speeds. This means that it can provide higher data transfer rates for output devices like graphics cards, network cards, RAID controllers, and sound cards. It also supports faster NVMe storage devices, allowing for a smoother gaming experience. PCIe Gen5 can also support multiple concurrent data streams and is backward compatible with older PCIe slots.
