Minisforum has launched a powerful 6-liter PC with a Ryzen 9 7945HX3D processor, offering a hybrid of desktop and mobile capabilities with up to 100W TDP.

Minisforum introduces Powerful 6-Liter PC with Ryzen 9 7945HX3D Processor

During the recent “Xiamen HighFun Event” in China, Minisforum showcased its latest Mini-PC products. In addition to the 70W Mini-PC featuring the Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, the company provided an update on its even more capable 6-liter PC.

The 6-liter chassis of this system can accommodate either an Intel or AMD motherboard, depending on the model. The Intel version is currently referred to as “Project RPFXI,” while the AMD system is known as “Project DRFXI.” These systems are based on Intel’s Raptor Lake and AMD’s Dragon Range series.

Equipped with 55W mobile CPUs, this system offers a hybrid between mobile and desktop capabilities. It combines desktop specifications with a BGA package and a default power limit of 55W. Intel’s HX line provides up to 8 Performance and 16 Efficient cores (24 cores), while AMD’s Ryzen 7045HX series offers up to 16 Zen4 cores.

Minisforum has confirmed that the most powerful Ryzen CPU, the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, will be available with the AMD platform for this system. However, it is worth noting that the showcased 7945HX system might not be the final configuration, as the company plans to release a non-Pro version called the X3D series as a premium model in the future.

According to the official presentation, this system will support up to 100W TDP, indicating that this could be the default power limit for the processor. The Ryzen 9 7945HX3D has previously been exclusive to the ASUS ROG Scar gaming laptop and is set to launch today. Minisforum has not yet announced a release date for this system, although it was initially expected to debut in late 2023.
