Minisforum has confirmed that their upcoming 6-liter PC will feature the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, the most powerful Ryzen CPU available, and will support up to 100W TDP.
- Compact system with the flexibility of accommodating either an Intel or AMD motherboard
- Utilizes 55W mobile CPUs, combining the power of desktop specifications with the compactness of a BGA package
- Supports up to 100W TDP, making it a high-performance option out of the box
Minisforum recently showcased their latest 6-liter PC during the “Xiamen HighFun Event” in China. This compact system, which is yet to be officially named, offers the flexibility of accommodating either an Intel or AMD motherboard. The Intel version is currently referred to as “Project RPFXI,” while the AMD variant goes by “Project DRFXI,” with both models based on the Raptor Lake and Dragon Range series.
What sets this system apart is its utilization of 55W mobile CPUs, combining the power of desktop specifications with the compactness of a BGA package. Intel’s HX line provides up to 24 cores, while AMD’s Ryzen 7045HX series offers up to 16 Zen4 cores.
Minisforum has now confirmed that their upcoming system will feature the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, the most powerful Ryzen CPU available. It’s worth noting that this may not be the only configuration, as the showcased 7945HX system could be the non-Pro version. The X3D series is expected to emerge as a premium model in the future.
Impressively, this system will support up to 100W TDP, making it a high-performance option out of the box. The Ryzen 9 7945HX3D has been exclusive to the ASUS ROG Scar gaming laptop but is now set to make its way into Minisforum’s compact PC.
While an official release date for this system has yet to be announced, it was initially anticipated to debut in late 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development from Minisforum.
