Next-Gen Intel Core i9-14900k Outpaces 13900K by 9% in Cinebench 2024
Intel’s highly anticipated 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh processors are set to make their debut later this month, promising higher core clocks and improved performance. With the release of Cinebench R24, or 2024, we now have the opportunity to test the capabilities of Intel’s latest processors in this content creation benchmark. Thanks to the folks at Chiphell, we were able to get our hands on a pre-release sample and put it through its paces in both single and multi-threaded benchmarks.
In the multi-core benchmark, the 14th Gen Core i9-14900K achieved an impressive score of 2,161 points. In the single-threaded test, it scored 128 points. To put these numbers into perspective, we ran our own tests on the Core i9-13900KF from the previous generation, and it achieved scores of 2,017 and 130 points, respectively. This suggests that the single-threaded performance of Intel’s next-gen chips will be on par with their 13th Gen counterparts. However, where the new processors truly shine is in their multi-threaded performance, thanks to voltage, power, and clock enhancements.
While the boost in multi-threaded performance is undoubtedly impressive, it’s worth noting that it may not make a significant difference for most consumers. The average user typically doesn’t require the level of processing power that these processors offer in multi-threaded tasks. However, for professionals in fields such as video editing, 3D rendering, and content creation, the improved performance can make a noticeable impact on productivity.
Intel’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of processor technology is evident in the performance gains seen in the Core i9-14900K. The company continues to deliver advancements that cater to the needs of power users and professionals who demand top-tier performance from their machines. With the 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh processors, Intel has once again solidified its position as a leader in the CPU market.
As we eagerly await the official release of the 14th Gen processors, it’s clear that Intel is raising the bar with its latest offering. The Core i9-14900K’s impressive performance in Cinebench 2024 showcases the company’s dedication to delivering technology that pushes the boundaries of what is possible. Whether you’re a professional in need of powerful processing capabilities or an enthusiast looking to build a high-performance gaming rig, Intel’s next-gen processors are sure to deliver the performance you crave.
