Gigabyte, the gaming hardware manufacturer, has launched the AORUS C400 GLASS mid-tower gaming case, which has been recognized with the prestigious 2024 Red Dot Design Award. The AORUS C400 GLASS boasts a vertical airflow cooling design that ensures optimal stability and efficient heat dissipation within the case. Despite its compact size of around 40 liters, it offers exceptional compatibility, ensuring that performance is not compromised by size limitations. The tool-less design adds convenience for gamers during assembly, resulting in a more user-friendly and efficient building process. Moreover, the case supports RGB FUSION lighting effects, allowing gamers to personalize their rigs’ style effortlessly.

The airflow design of the case plays a crucial role in its internal thermal performance. Inspired by the stack effect, the AORUS C400 GLASS enhances air convection speed, enabling rapid vertical circulation within the case. This leads to more efficient heat dissipation and effectively reduces internal temperatures. The large-area vent design on the bottom, top, and front panels minimizes airflow obstructions and facilitates a large volume of intake and exhaust airflow. Additionally, the case comes with four 120mm ARGB and PWM pre-installed fans positioned at the bottom and rear, ensuring excellent airflow paths. This setup achieves high-efficiency heat dissipation, guaranteeing optimal ventilation and stable performance for the computer system.

With its compact size of nearly 40 liters, the AORUS C400 GLASS is an appealing choice for those with limited space or a preference for a compact system. The case accommodates ATX motherboards, high-end Graphics Cards, and high-wattage power supplies. It supports up to seven fans for cooling, ensuring excellent performance, and can house up to a 360mm radiator at both the top and bottom, as well as a 120mm radiator at the rear. In terms of drive support, the case offers up to three 2.5″ SSDs or up to five 3.5″ HDDs, featuring a fully modular installation design that allows for easy assembly by gamers. Additionally, the AORUS C400 GLASS supports both vertical and horizontal GPU installations, providing gamers with the flexibility to choose the best viewing angle for their graphics card.

The AORUS C400 GLASS boasts easy installation with its tool-less design, allowing users to detach panels with just one hand, eliminating the need for tools. This simplifies the assembly process, enhancing convenience and flexibility. The top panel also features a detachable bracket for easy installation of top fans or radiators. Users can assemble the bracket with fans or radiators in advance and effortlessly install the entire assembly back into the top panel, saving time and effort. The case is equipped with dust filters on the front, top, and bottom, preventing dust accumulation in the long term and ensuring optimal cooling performance. The magnetic dust filters on the front and top panel, along with the detachable design on the bottom, make cleaning convenient and time-saving. Furthermore, the built-in ARGB and PWM hub controller provides five 5v 3pin ARGB connectors and five PWM connectors, allowing users to connect extra RGB strips and cooling fans.

The AORUS C400 GLASS features front panel RGB lighting design that maintains a subtle style without being over-the-top. Light guides below the front panel can shine upon the desk, enhancing the gaming atmosphere and aesthetic. Pre-installed ARGB fans enable users to pair with other AORUS RGB devices, and with the GIGABYTE CONTROL CENTER lighting software, users can easily customize their preferred RGB effects. The tempered glass side panel not only showcases the interior setup but also provides a perfect platform to display all gaming equipment, immersing users in a high-quality gaming experience.

Technology Explained

ATX: ATX (Advanced Technology eXtended) is a type of motherboard form factor that has become the standard in the computer industry. It was first introduced in the mid-1990s and has since evolved to become the most widely used form factor for desktop computers. The main purpose of ATX is to provide a standardized layout for computer components, making it easier for manufacturers to design and produce compatible parts. This has led to a more efficient and cost-effective production process, resulting in more affordable and reliable computers for consumers. Additionally, the ATX form factor allows for better airflow and cooling within the computer, which is crucial for maintaining optimal performance. Overall, ATX technology has greatly contributed to the advancement of the computer industry by providing a universal standard for computer components and improving the overall functionality and reliability of computers.

GPU: GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit and is a specialized type of processor designed to handle graphics-intensive tasks. It is used in the computer industry to render images, videos, and 3D graphics. GPUs are used in gaming consoles, PCs, and mobile devices to provide a smooth and immersive gaming experience. They are also used in the medical field to create 3D models of organs and tissues, and in the automotive industry to create virtual prototypes of cars. GPUs are also used in the field of artificial intelligence to process large amounts of data and create complex models. GPUs are becoming increasingly important in the computer industry as they are able to process large amounts of data quickly and efficiently.

PWM: Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is a type of technology used in the computer industry that allows for control over pulse and frequency. It works by modulating an output signal’s pulse width or duty cycle to vary the on and off times of the signal. This technology can be used to control and regulate different DC motor, lighting, and other devices. In the computer industry, PWM is often used to control the speed of CPU and GPU fan speeds for improved cooling. It is also used to control backlighting levels on devices such as keyboards or monitors. PWM is versatile, cost-effective, and efficient; as such, it is an important technology in the computer industry.
