In the wake of allegations raised by Selen Tatsuki following her departure from Nijisanji, HYTE has opted to disengage from collaborative ventures with the agency. Following a series of departures by important Livers from Nijisanji, the agency announced the termination of Selen Tatsuki’s contract, citing “repeated breaches.” However, this decision was swiftly met with a rebuttal from Selen herself.
Selen has levied accusations of a “toxic” work environment and managerial bullying, leading to an overwhelming show of support for her under her alternative persona, Dokibird, resulting in a remarkable surge to 250,000 subscribers within a day of her contract termination.
In response to these allegations, HYTE, a subsidiary of iBUYPOWER, has elected to sever ties with AnyColor, the parent company of , citing the unfolding situation.
“In light of recent developments concerning AnyColor (Nijisanji), HYTE has opted to terminate our ongoing collaboration with the VTuber group,”
This collaboration, which involved Nijisanji EN talents Rosemi Lovelock, Enna Alouette, and Elira Pendora in the creation of a series of PC cases and keycaps, will now be discontinued. HYTE has pledged to refund any preorders made by fans. This development unfolds amid a broader trend of talent departures from Nijisanji, with several important figures, such as Pomu Rainpuff, Mika Melaltika, and Kyo Kaneko, announcing their departure from the agency over the past few months.
“In light of the circumstances surrounding Nijisanji over the past year, HYTE stands in solidarity with the numerous VTuber enthusiasts who have chosen to withdraw their support from the organization,” expressed HYTE in their statement.
HYTE’s planned collaboration with Nijisanji was not their inaugural foray into the VTuber sphere; the company has previously collaborated with hololive to produce PC case bundles featuring their EN talents, including Mori Calliope, Watson Amelia, Ouro Kronii, and Hakos Baelz.
