  • Global availability

Intel has finally launched its long-awaited Arc A580 GPU, a year after its initial announcement. Priced at $179, this graphics card is targeted towards entry-level to mid-range gamers who are looking for solid performance at a 1080p resolution with medium to high graphics settings.

The Arc A580 comes equipped with 24 Xe-Cores and boasts 8GB of GDDR6 memory. With a board power of 185W, it consumes 40W less power than its sibling, the Arc A750. It’s worth noting that the power consumption is slightly higher than what was initially announced in 2022.

While the official GPU clock speed is set at 1.7 GHz, all three launch partners – ASRock, Sparkle, and GUNNIR Index – are offering versions with a boosted 2.0 GHz specification. Intel has ensured global availability of these cards through its retail partners.

Early reviews of the Arc A580 have started to surface, providing insights into its performance and capabilities. Intel has also provided a list of participating retailers where customers can purchase the card.

Overall, the Arc A580 seems to be a promising addition to Intel’s GPU lineup, offering decent performance at an affordable price point. However, it remains to be seen how it will fare against tough competition from nVidia and AMD’s offerings.
