Micron Technology has released two new products in its Crucial Pro Series lineup, including overclocking-capable memory modules and the world's fastest Gen 5 SSD, designed for gamers, professionals, and enthusiasts and offering impressive performance and compatibility with the latest CPU platforms.

Micron Technology, a leading provider of memory and storage solutions, has introduced two new products in its Crucial Pro Series lineup. The company has launched overclocking-capable memory modules and the world’s fastest Gen 5 SSD, catering to the needs of gamers, professionals, and enthusiasts.

The Crucial DDR5 Pro Memory: Overclocking Edition modules offer impressive performance with lower latencies and improved bandwidth. With densities of up to 16 GB and speeds of DDR5-6000, these modules ensure a seamless gaming experience while reducing performance bottlenecks. Moreover, they are compatible with the latest DDR5 Intel and AMD CPUs, supporting both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO specifications, eliminating any compatibility issues.

On the other hand, the Crucial T705 SSD takes advantage of Micron’s 232-layer TLC NAND technology to deliver unparalleled performance. With lightning-fast sequential read and write speeds of up to 14,500 MB/s and 12,700 MB/s respectively (up to 1,550K/1,800K IOPS random reads and writes), this SSD is ideal for gaming, video editing, 3D rendering, and AI applications with heavy workloads. He emphasized that the Crucial T705 Gen 5 SSD and DDR5 Pro Overclocking DRAM are designed specifically for gamers, creators, and performance users who require the full capabilities of the latest CPU platforms.

The Crucial DDR5 Pro Memory: Overclocking Edition offers extended timings of 36-38-38-80, resulting in a 25% reduction in Latency compared to the Crucial DDR5 Pro Memory Plug and Play Edition. The modules feature an elegant, origami-inspired aluminum heat spreader, complementing various gaming rigs. They also deliver higher frame rates for memory-intensive games at 1080p and 1440p resolutions, including popular titles like Rainbow Six Siege, Forza Horizon 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and Forespoken. Additionally, these modules are universally compatible with DDR5-based Intel Core 12th to 14th Gen desktop CPUs and AMD Ryzen 7000 to 8000G Series desktop CPUs.

Crucial has fine-tuned all XMP 3.0 and EXPO memory profiles to ensure maximum CPU compatibility without compromising overclocking stability and performance. Users can activate one of these pre-tuned profiles to achieve optimal performance easily.

The Crucial T705 SSD is available in capacities up to 4 TB and features a premium black aluminum and copper heatsink. This heatsink efficiently dissipates heat without the need for noisy fans or Liquid Cooling solutions. The SSD fully utilizes Microsoft DirectStorage and is backward compatible with Gen 3 and Gen 4 motherboards. For users who prefer to use a motherboard heatsink, a non-heatsink version is also available. Additionally, for a limited time, customers can get their hands on a special edition 2 TB Crucial T705 Gen 5 SSD with an exclusive white heatsink that perfectly matches white motherboards and PC components, catering to the aesthetic preferences of enthusiasts and gamers.

The Crucial DDR5 Pro Overclocking DRAM will be available in 16 GB densities starting from February 27, 2024, with 24 GB densities set to launch later in 2024.
