LG Display, a leading innovator in display technologies, has announced its plans to showcase its latest OLED products at CES 2024. The company will have two booths at the Las Vegas Convention Center, one in the North Hall and another dedicated to automotive displays in the West Hall. Under the theme of “A Better Future,” LG Display will present its OLED technologies that can revolutionize consumer lifestyles.
At the main booth in the North Hall, LG Display will unveil various large-sized OLED technologies that push the boundaries of picture quality. This includes TVs, gaming monitors, and Transparent OLEDs. One of the highlights will be the latest OLED TV panel that features the innovative ‘META Technology.’ This technology combines ‘Micro Lens Array’ with a brightness-enhancing algorithm to achieve the highest level of brightness in any existing OLED TV panel.
For gamers, LG Display will showcase a comprehensive lineup of gaming OLEDs ranging from 20 to 40 inches. The standout product is a 27-inch QHD gaming OLED panel with a world-first 480 Hz ultra-high Refresh Rate. This panel provides an optimal gaming experience with smooth and sharp visuals, even during fast screen transitions. LG Display also offers ultra-wide aspect ratios and high resolutions for immersive gaming experiences.
Additionally, LG Display will present its full lineup of Transparent OLEDs, including mid-sized and ultra-large displays. These transparent panels can seamlessly replace glass Windows, offering unique applications and new shopping experiences in retail spaces. Their versatility allows for installation in various spaces and interiors, thanks to their lower heat generation compared to conventional LEDs.
In the West Hall booth, LG Display will showcase its ultra-large ‘Pillar-to-Pillar’ display solution optimized for Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs). This includes P-OLED, ATO, and LTPS LCD technologies. The ‘Ultra-large P2P P-OLED’ integrates a 12.3-inch dashboard display and a 34-inch center screen, creating a sleek and sophisticated design that covers the entire dashboard. LG Display will also introduce its ‘Switchable Privacy Mode’ to keep the driver’s focus on the road.
Moreover, LG Display will present solutions that maximize space efficiency within vehicles and offer new in-car experiences. This includes a foldable OLED for rear seat entertainment and a slidable OLED hidden in the ceiling. The company’s ‘Thin Actuator Sound Solution’ provides a richer and more immersive sound experience while being lightweight and thin.
LG Display will also showcase technologies that enhance aesthetics, such as an ‘Under Display’ that conceals cameras installed on the display and a ‘Decorative Film’ that allows screens to resemble interior materials when inactive.
With its innovative display solutions, LG Display aims to strengthen its business competitiveness and secure potential customers through its differentiated products and technologies.

Technology Explained
OLED: Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology is a cutting-edge display technology that has revolutionized the computer industry by producing superior image quality and superior energy efficiency. OLED technology works by using organic compounds to create an efficient and flexible light source. This type of technology has enabled thinner and lighter designs as well as improved color range and resolution. OLED technology is currently used in laptop displays and is increasingly used in televisions and mobile devices. Its benefits, such as relatively low power consumption and extraordinary brightness, give a more vivid and more powerful image even in dim areas. OLED technology has also improved computer performance, as its power efficiency passes on to other computer components and leads to extended battery life. OLED technology also features shorter response time and full color reproducibility, making it ideal for fast-paced action games.

Refresh Rate: The technology refresh rate is a measure of how often a computer system is updated with new hardware and software. It is an important factor in the computer industry, as it determines how quickly a system can be upgraded and how well it can handle new applications. The refresh rate is usually measured in years, and it is important for businesses to keep their systems up to date in order to remain competitive. A higher refresh rate means that the system can handle more applications and can be upgraded more quickly. This can be beneficial for businesses that need to keep up with the latest technology trends. Additionally, a higher refresh rate can help reduce the cost of maintaining a system, as newer hardware and software can be more efficient and cost-effective.
