Forza Motorsport’s latest update tackles PC’s CPU spike issues, bringing smoother performance.

Forza Motorsport is making significant improvements to car progression, race regulations, and AI opponents, as well as addressing technical issues and adding new features, in their upcoming updates.

  • Improvements to Car Progression, giving players more freedom in customizing their cars regardless of level restrictions.

Greetings, racing enthusiasts! It’s time for an update on the latest improvements coming to Forza Motorsport. In January, we highlighted three areas of feedback from the community that the team at Turn 10 has been diligently working on: Car Progression, Forza Race Regulations, and Drivatar AI. Today, we’re excited to share some progress on these fronts.

Let’s start with Car Progression. We’ve been gathering feedback from various sources to address the issue of players not being able to equip the parts they need due to car level restrictions. Our team is actively working on changes that will give players more freedom in customizing their cars, regardless of their level. These changes are currently in the design and testing phase, and we plan to implement them as soon as possible.

Moving on to Forza Race Regulations, we have made some important updates. Race Marshals and select content creators now have the ability to flag in-game incidents for review. This feedback will help us make improvements to the adjudication model, ensuring a fair and enjoyable racing experience for all players.

Lastly, we’re tackling the issue of AI opponents bunching up around Turn 1 and creating insurmountable leads. Our team is testing fixes to the Drivatar AI to alleviate this problem. Additionally, we’re investigating other priority fixes for the AI, focusing on improving their overall driving behavior and reducing their aggressiveness on the racing line.

But that’s not all! While our teams are hard at work on these key improvements, we’re also developing fixes and enhancements for other areas of the game. These updates will be rolled out alongside Update 5 in February. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the changes you can expect:

– A Skip Practice option will be added to the Career mode pre-race menu, making it more discoverable and allowing players to jump straight into the action.
– After completing a Practice session, a save point will be created so that players can finish the Featured Race at a later time.
– The Livery Editor will receive fixes and quality-of-life improvements based on your feedback. This includes features like custom advanced zoom for applying decals, the ability to paint upgraded brake calipers, and a prompt to save your design when exiting the Livery Editor.

These are just a few examples of the updates we have in store for you. Stay tuned for more details on each of these improvements in the near future.

In addition to these key areas, we’re also actively working on fixes and enhancements across the game. Update 5, scheduled for release in February, will address various technical issues and stability improvements. Here’s a list of some of the fixes we’re targeting:

– Under-the-hood improvements to reduce CPU spikes and better utilize the GPU, resulting in improved framerate consistency while driving.
– Fixes for numerous crash scenarios caused by multi-threaded rendering.
– Resolving issues related to full screen mode on PCs with integrated GPUs.
– Improved mouse navigation for easier menu traversal.
– Performance boost when switching from high-quality mode to low quality on PC.
– Fixes for missing objects in car reflections in Photo Mode and Forzavista.
– And much more!
