Greetings, racing enthusiasts! It’s time for another update on the improvements being made to Forza Motorsport based on feedback from the community. In our previous update, we highlighted three key areas of focus: Car Progression, Forza Race Regulations, and Drivatar AI. Today, we’re excited to share the progress we’ve made in these areas.

Let’s start with Car Progression. We’ve been collecting feedback from various sources to address the issue of players not being able to equip the parts they need regardless of car level. Our team is currently working on changes to the system that will give players more freedom in customizing their cars. These changes are in various stages of design and testing, and we’re aiming to implement them as soon as possible.

Moving on to Forza Race Regulations, we’ve taken steps to improve the adjudication model by enabling Race Marshals and content creators to flag in-game incidents for review. This feedback will help us make further improvements to the system and ensure fair racing for everyone.

Lastly, we’ve been focusing on fixing the Drivatar AI to address the issue of competitors bunching up around Turn 1 and creating insurmountable leads. We’re testing out fixes that will alleviate this problem and improve the overall driving behavior of the AI. Our goal is to make races more challenging and realistic, without sacrificing the fun factor.

But that’s not all! We’re actively developing fixes and improvements to other areas of the game as well. These will be rolled out alongside Update 5 in February. Some of the highlights include a Skip Practice option in the Career mode pre-race menu, a save point after finishing a Practice session, and enhancements to the Livery Editor based on your reports. These improvements include custom advanced zoom for applying decals, the ability to paint upgraded brake calipers, and a prompt to save your design when exiting the Livery Editor.

We know you’re eager to learn more about these updates, and we’ll be sharing additional details soon. In the meantime, mark your calendars for the next Forza Monthly livestream on January 26, where we’ll reveal the track coming in Update 5. And in February’s livestream, we’ll dive deeper into the track, career tour, cars, and multiplayer events that will accompany the update.

Now, let’s take a look at some of the fixes we’re targeting for Update 5, scheduled for release in February. These fixes cover various aspects of the game and are aimed at improving stability, gameplay, graphics, AI behavior, cars, tracks, and accessibility. We’ve listened to your feedback and are working hard to address these issues to enhance your gaming experience.

For PC players, we’ve made numerous under-the-hood improvements to reduce CPU spikes and better utilize the GPU, resulting in improved framerate consistency while driving. We’ve also fixed several crash scenarios caused by multi-threaded rendering and addressed issues related to full screen mode and erratic framerates.

In terms of gameplay, we’ve introduced the option to Skip Practice in the Career mode pre-race menu, giving you more flexibility in how you approach races. We’ve also fixed issues with ghosting in Private Multiplayer when someone is driving the wrong way, missing car model names in Free Play, and inaccurate information in the Challenge the Grid screen.

The Livery Editor has also received some attention. You’ll now be prompted to save your livery before exiting the editor, ensuring that your hard work is not lost. We’ve also added a custom advanced zoom feature when applying decals to a car, making it easier to create detailed designs. Additionally, you can now paint upgraded brake calipers for added customization options.

These are just a few highlights from the extensive list of fixes coming in Update 5. We’re committed to delivering a polished and enjoyable experience for all players, and we appreciate your patience and support as we work on these improvements.
