AMD is set to release the RX 6750 GRE, a new graphics card exclusive to China, on October 18th, featuring 12GB of memory and a Navi 22 GPU with 2304 cores and a low board power of 170W.
- The RX 6750 GRE is repurposed from a BC-2235 cryptomining card into a gaming product.
- It features an unconventional 10GB 160-bit memory configuration and a relatively low board power of just 170W.
- It is likely based on the Navi 22 GPU, but the number of Stream Processors enabled on the chip remains uncertain.
AMD is set to release a new graphics card, the RX 6750 GRE, exclusively in China. This comes after months of rumors surrounding its potential launch. The RX 6750 GRE is expected to follow the debut of the RX 7900 GRE, which was introduced in July. It’s important to note that this card is not available for purchase outside of China through the DIY market, but can be obtained from system integrators worldwide.
Initially, there were speculations that the RX 6750 GRE would be an overclocked version of the RX 6700 with 10GB of memory. However, recent information suggests that this might not be the case. The graphics card was actually repurposed from a BC-2235 cryptomining card into a gaming product. It features an unconventional 10GB 160-bit memory configuration and a relatively low board power of just 170W. This made it a suitable candidate for a “GRE makeover” by increasing the board power.
Contrary to previous rumors, Gigabyte China has confirmed that the RX 6750 GRE will come with 12GB of memory. However, the exact GPU specifications are still unconfirmed. It is likely based on the Navi 22 GPU, but the number of Stream Processors enabled on the chip remains uncertain. It’s expected to have around 2304 cores, as GRE models are designed to be more budget-friendly options. Unfortunately, there is no indication that the RX 6750 GRE will be released in the same manner as other Radeon GPUs.
Gigabyte has announced that the RX 6750 GRE will launch on October 18th. Reservations for two models, the EAGLE and GAMING RX 6750 GRE SKUs, are already being accepted.
