Colorful has released the Ultra Z series, featuring four separate variants with two or three fans and hidden power connectors, including the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 models, with a triple-fan cooler design and varying thickness and weight.
- Discreet placement of 8-pin power connector
- Cable is cleverly routed to the side of the card facing the motherboard
- Standard 8-pin PCI connector reduces the risk of cable overheating
Colorful has recently expanded its popular iGame Ultra White series with the introduction of the Ultra Z series. This new series offers a diverse range of designs, including at least four separateive variants with two or three fans and hidden power connectors. Joining this lineup are the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 models.
One of Colorful’s key innovations with the Ultra Z series is the discreet placement of the 8-pin power connector. Unlike traditional Graphics Cards where the connector is importantly positioned on the side facing the chassis window, Colorful has opted to place it fully underneath the backplate. The backplate is securely held in place with magnets, allowing users easy access to the cable when needed. The cable is cleverly routed to the side of the card facing the motherboard, ensuring complete cable concealment.
The position of the power connector also leaves enough room for the cable to bend without risking overheating. Additionally, Colorful uses the standard 8-pin PCI connector, reducing the theoretical risk of cable overheating compared to higher wattage connectors.
The Ultra Z series from Colorful consists of three separate models, all featuring an identical triple-fan cooler design measuring 31.3 x 18.9 cm. The main difference lies in their thickness, ranging from 48 to 50.5 mm, and their weight, which varies between 1.12 and 0.98 kg depending on the specific SKU.
While the RTX 4060 (Ti) Ultra Z models are not currently available for purchase, they have been officially listed on Colorful’s website, indicating that their launch is imminent.
