- EK-Quantum Reflection² distro plates seamlessly integrate with Vector² GPU water blocks and active backplates, as well as Quantum Surface radiators
EKWB, a provider of premium Liquid Cooling solutions, is introducing a new distro plate designed specifically for the recently released Lian Li O11D EVO XL case. This distro plate aims to offer advanced water cooling capabilities with the latest 3rd generation SATA-powered D5 pump, eliminating the need for additional 4-pin Molex cables. The Reflection² series distribution plates are EK-Matrix7 compliant, featuring push-in ports for easier radiator insertion and support for inverted layout. It also supports up to three 420mm radiators and a vertically-mounted GPU.
The EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D EVO XL D5 PWM D-RGB is a custom water cooling reservoir, routing, and pump solution that seamlessly fits into the front of the case. It features innovative push-in ports with female G1/4″ threaded adapters, allowing users to easily assemble and slide in the top and bottom radiators with fittings and tubing. For 420mm radiators, the Push-In Adapter M7 is recommended.
This All-in-One waterway solution offers unique aesthetics and ease of use, incorporating a pump, reservoir, simple mounting mechanism, and industry-standard G1/4″ threaded inlets and outlets. The placement of these inlets and outlets is aligned with other EK products to minimize the number of bends required when building the loop. The maximum radiator size with the installed distro plate is as follows: Top: EK-Quantum Surface P420 (or X420 with limited configurations), Bottom: EK-Quantum Surface X420, Side: EK-Quantum Surface P420 (Note: Top and Bottom radiator positions are incompatible with 360mm radiators due to the O11D EVO XL’s asymmetric mounting pattern).
The EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D EVO XL D5 PWM D-RGB is engineered to be mounted on the front window of the LIAN LI O11D EVO XL case, fitting perfectly within the chassis. The motherboard tray needs to be moved to the central position for full Matrix7 compatibility. This distribution plate can also be used in the inverted layout of the chassis, with reversed radiator compatibility. It features an addressable D-RGB LED Strip with 24 LEDs for even lighting and connects to the motherboard’s 5V header or a dedicated D-RGB controller. It is compatible with various software for coordinated light effects.
The distro plate comes with a powerful yet silent PWM-controlled D5 pump, specifically the latest G3 variant. It features a SATA power connector, following the trend of decreased use of 4-pin Molex cables in the PC industry.
EK-Matrix7 support standardizes the product’s dimensions, including port position and spacing, making liquid cooling loop assembly more intuitive and easier. EK-Quantum Reflection² distro plates seamlessly integrate with Vector² GPU water blocks and active backplates, as well as Quantum Surface radiators, reducing planning and tube bending time.
The EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D EVO XL D5 PWM D-RGB distribution plate is available for pre-order through the EK Webshop and partner reseller network. It is expected to ship out in early October 2023. The MSRP for the distro plate and push-in adapters are listed in the table provided.

Technology Explained
distro plate: A distro plate for water cooling is a specialized component in custom PC liquid cooling setups. Typically made of transparent acrylic or glass, it serves as both a reservoir and a distribution hub for coolant within the system. This plate features multiple inlet and outlet ports, allowing for seamless connections to various cooling components such as CPU and GPU water blocks, radiators, and pumps. Its primary function is to efficiently circulate coolant throughout the system, providing cooling to critical components while also adding a striking visual element to the PC build due to its transparent nature, which often showcases the flowing coolant and RGB lighting effects.

Liquid Cooling: Liquid cooling is a technology used to cool down computer components, such as processors, graphics cards, and other components that generate a lot of heat. It works by circulating a liquid coolant, such as water or a special coolant, through a series of pipes and radiators. The liquid absorbs the heat from the components and then dissipates it into the air. This technology is becoming increasingly popular in the computer industry due to its ability to provide more efficient cooling than traditional air cooling methods. Liquid cooling can also be used to overclock components, allowing them to run at higher speeds than their rated speeds. This technology is becoming increasingly popular in the gaming industry, as it allows gamers to get the most out of their hardware.

PWM: Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is a type of technology used in the computer industry that allows for control over pulse and frequency. It works by modulating an output signal’s pulse width or duty cycle to vary the on and off times of the signal. This technology can be used to control and regulate different DC motor, lighting, and other devices. In the computer industry, PWM is often used to control the speed of CPU and GPU fan speeds for improved cooling. It is also used to control backlighting levels on devices such as keyboards or monitors. PWM is versatile, cost-effective, and efficient; as such, it is an important technology in the computer industry.
