The company has released a second major driver specifically for Starfield, acknowledging the game’s significance in the gaming landscape for 2023. Initially, Intel’s GPU drivers did not provide a seamless gaming experience during the early access phase, but they quickly addressed this issue by releasing the first driver optimized for Starfield.
However, neither the first driver nor the latest one released by Intel constitutes the full ‘Game On’ driver. While Intel has resolved some bugs and made further optimizations, there are still a number of known issues that need to be addressed. Despite this, Intel’s commitment to enhancing the gaming experience is evident through their consistent stream of driver updates.
Unfortunately, Intel was unable to deliver a fully optimized driver for Starfield’s launch on September 6th, which may require patience from Alchemist GPU series gamers. Some gamers have expressed their frustration by reaching out to Bethesda for support. However, when one gamer sought assistance from Bethesda’s consumer support, they were informed that the ARC A770 GPU does not meet the minimum requirements specified for Radeon RX 5700 or GTX 1070 Ti GPUs.
Interestingly, the Arc A770 GPU actually performs better than the aforementioned cards. Bethesda’s generic response suggests a lack of comprehensive guidance on how to address or optimize the game for their hardware. As a result, Arc gamers may have to rely on Intel to resolve issues that Bethesda seems unwilling to tackle independently. Hopefully, Intel and Bethesda are working together on Starfield optimizations, and Intel will release its fully optimized driver for Starfield soon.
