AIDA64, the popular benchmarking and diagnostic tool, has recently received significant updates that bring improved hardware support. The latest version of AIDA64 focuses on enhancing 64-bit support for multi-threaded AVX-512 and AVX2 benchmarks, specifically targeting AMD’s upcoming Zen 5 , architecture. Despite Zen 5 , not being officially released yet, AIDA64 is already ahead of the game by providing extensive support for engineering samples that heavily rely on this software. In addition, the software now offers more comprehensive chipset information for AMD’s integrated memory controllers.

The impact of the AVX-512 benchmark update extends beyond AMD, as it will also benefit Intel’s upcoming Sapphire Rapids and Emerald Rapids CPUs. Although Emerald Rapids hasn’t been formally launched, it is expected to share a similar design with Sapphire Rapids while incorporating the Raptor Cove microarchitecture. This architecture will be introduced as part of Intel’s Xeon datacenter and Xeon workstation series.

AIDA64 version 6.92 introduces several new features and improvements. It includes AVX-512 accelerated benchmarks for Intel’s Sapphire Rapids and Emerald Rapids processors, further optimized AVX-512 Julia and Mandel benchmarks, improved support for AMD Zen 5 processors, MSI CoreLiquid AIO LCD support, support for PCI Express 6.0 controllers and devices, GPU details for AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT, RX 7800 XT, RX 7900 GRE, FMAC methods for FLOPS and IOPS GPGPU benchmarks, support for multiple Intel GPUs, and GPU details for nVidia Geforce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. Additionally, AIDA64 Engineer now supports CSV and XML report formats.

These updates also extend to the realm of Graphics Cards. Over the past summer, several notable releases have taken place. The RTX 4060 Ti 16GB leads the pack, while AMD has recently announced its Radeon RX 7900 GRE, RX 7800 XT, and RX 7700 XT cards.

AIDA64 has also improved its support for PCI Express, now compatible with PCIe 6.0 controllers and devices. However, it may still be some time before consumers encounter products featuring this advanced interconnect technology.
