While there are already NUC-sized systems available with AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processors, Simply NUC’s new offering is set to take performance to the next level with the inclusion of Intel’s high-end Core i9 CPUs.

Although Simply NUC has not revealed the specific generation of Intel CPU that will be used in the new system, it is expected to include options from both current and previous generations. Notably, the 13th Gen Core-P series does not include Core i9 CPUs, but the Core-H lineup offers a range of Core i9 SKUs with up to 24 cores.

Given the compact size of the 4×4 form factor, it is reasonable to assume a maximum 45W TDP for the new system. However, it is worth noting that recent Mini-PC releases have already exceeded this constraint, with some models operating at 65W or 54W TDPs. These systems, powered by AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS APUs, offer higher default TDPs but do not adhere to the 4×4-inch size limitation.

It is also worth mentioning that another company, Minisforum, is planning to launch a Mini-PC with Intel Core-HX and AMD Dragon Range-HX processors. This system will feature up to 24 Intel hybrid cores or 16 Zen4 cores but will utilize a larger 6-liter chassis.
