Geekom Beats SimplyNUC to the Punch with Core i9 4×4 NUC Announcement
Geekom has taken the lead in introducing their latest IT13 4×4 Mini-PC featuring the Core i9 CPU, beating out SimplyNUC. Although the official unveiling is scheduled for later today, Geekom has prematurely released the product page, revealing some of its specifications.
The IT13 is an upgraded version of the Core-H series-based model, now equipped with an “Alder Lake” Core i5-12650H processor. Notably, Geekom has incorporated a more advanced cooling system, enabling them to integrate the powerful “Raptor Lake” Core i9 processor. The Core i9-13900H 45W high-end gaming laptop processor makes its debut in this 4×4 Mini-PC, marking a significant milestone.
According to reports, the IT13 will offer various CPU options, including the Core i5-13500H and Core i7-13700H. However, all eyes will be on the i9-13900H SKU, which boasts 14 cores and 20 threads, with a boost capability of up to 5.4 GHz. It remains to be seen if the Geekom system can consistently handle the 115W Max Turbo Power (PL2) or if there will be any thermal and power-related limitations. The renders suggest a single fan design.
This development paves the way for more 4×4 Mini-PCs featuring the Core i9 processor. The IT13 will be launched today at 7 PM CEST, while SimplyNUC’s Onyx system is set for release on August 29th. Stay tuned for official confirmation of complete specifications and pricing details.
