Gigabyte Technology’s subsidiary, Giga Computing, is stirring up the industry with its announcement of new OCP ORv3 based solutions. These solutions are specifically designed for GPU centric workloads in immersion cooling, a technology that has gained traction in recent years.
The lineup of new GIGABYTE products includes the TO25-BT0, a 2OU node tray, as well as compute nodes such as the TO25-S10, TO25-S11, TO25-S12, TO25-Z10, TO25-Z11, and TO25-Z12. In addition, GIGABYTE is introducing GPU servers for immersion cooling server deployments with ORv3 specifications, including the TO15-S40, TO15-S41, and TO15-Z40.
GIGABYTE has been a long-time supporter of the Open Compute Project (OCP), and this commitment is reflected in their continuous efforts to develop products that meet OCP’s specifications. Vincent Wang, Sales VP at Giga Computing, emphasized the importance of these designs, stating that they “check the boxes for specifications that are required.”
The OCP Global Summit, taking place from October 17-19 at the SAN Jose Convention Center, is a gathering of industry professionals focused on IT hardware innovations. GIGABYTE will be present at the event with booth #A23, showcasing their immersion cooling tanks and servers. These products offer significant energy consumption and cost reductions for data centers, while also delivering enhanced performance and reliability.
One highlight of GIGABYTE’s booth is their soon-to-be-released compact 12U immersion tank, A1P0-EA0, paired with the H263-S64-IAW1, a 2U 4node server that supports eight Intel Xeon processors. Additionally, GIGABYTE has an 18OU immersion tank, A1O3-CC0, although it will not be physically present at the event. GIGABYTE provides a comprehensive solution for deploying single phase immersion cooling, including immersion-ready servers, immersion fluid, equipment, and technical expertise.
Visitors to the GIGABYTE booth will also have the opportunity to see an OCP ORv3 rack, featuring the new OCP tray (TO25-BT0) that houses compute nodes for both AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon platforms. For those with a storage focus, GIGABYTE offers an ORv3 JBOD server capable of supporting up to 32 drives in a 2OU chassis.
GIGABYTE’s presence at the OCP Global Summit underscores their commitment to driving innovation in the industry. By aligning with OCP’s tenets of efficiency, impact, openness, scalability, and sustainability, GIGABYTE is actively contributing to the community’s approach to problem-solving. With more exciting products on the horizon in Q1 2024, GIGABYTE continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of high-performance servers and workstations.
