  • Impressive cooling system with 360mm radiator and liquid metal for increased thermal conductivity
  • Unique application method allows for vertical installation
  • Achieved a new world record for GPU frequency, reaching an impressive 4230 MHz in GPUPI

ASUS is gearing up to release its highly anticipated flagship GPU, the ROG Matrix. After months of teasing, the company has finally announced that the graphics card will hit the market on September 19. The ROG Matrix has already made waves among skilled overclockers who have managed to break world records, thanks to its superior binning process and enhanced power delivery system.

One of the standout features of the ROG Matrix is its impressive cooling system. Equipped with a substantial 360mm radiator designed for Liquid Cooling, this GPU takes heat dissipation to the next level. Unlike most GPUs that use traditional thermal paste, the ROG Matrix employs liquid metal for increased thermal conductivity. However, ensuring that the liquid metal doesn’t come into contact with other components has been a complex challenge. ASUS has developed a unique application method that even allows for vertical installation, further enhancing its versatility.

To prevent any liquid metal spillage, ASUS has incorporated UV-resin around the GPU die and added two protective layers between the die and the card’s PCB. These measures ensure that the ROG Matrix maintains optimal performance without any risk of damage.

The ROG Matrix has already made its mark by achieving a new world record for GPU frequency, reaching an impressive 4230 MHz in GPUPI. However, this feat required disassembling the sophisticated cooler and utilizing liquid nitrogen.

While pricing details for the RTX 4090 ROG Matrix have yet to be announced, ASUS will be livestreaming the launch event on September 19 at 9:00 AM New York and 9:00 PM Taipei time. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated release.

Liquid Cooling: Liquid cooling is a technology used to cool down computer components, such as processors, graphics cards, and other components that generate a lot of heat. It works by circulating a liquid coolant, such as water or a special coolant, through a series of pipes and radiators. The liquid absorbs the heat from the components and then dissipates it into the air. This technology is becoming increasingly popular in the computer industry due to its ability to provide more efficient cooling than traditional air cooling methods. Liquid cooling can also be used to overclock components, allowing them to run at higher speeds than their rated speeds. This technology is becoming increasingly popular in the gaming industry, as it allows gamers to get the most out of their hardware.

PCB: Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are the backbone of the modern computer industry. They are thin boards made of a non-conductive material, such as fiberglass, with a thin layer of copper on top. This copper layer is etched with a pattern of electrical pathways that connect the various components of a computer together. PCBs are used in almost every electronic device, from computers to cell phones, and are essential for the functioning of these devices. They provide a reliable and efficient way to connect the components of a computer, allowing for faster and more reliable communication between them. The use of PCBs has revolutionized the computer industry, allowing for smaller, faster, and more reliable computers.
