AMD Navi 32 MBA, exclusive to Sapphire, is the only reference model of the RX 7800 XT announced by an AMD board partner. AMD has confirmed that there won’t be a reference design for the Radeon RX 7700 XT GPU. Instead, board partners have the option to offer a reference-based model based on the RX 7800 XT GPU. This reference design, known as MBA (Made by AMD), will be available directly through AMD’s official webstore. Partners can also introduce their custom designs with factory overclocking and increased board power.
The RX 7700 XT will only be available through board partners as custom designs, none of which resemble the AMD MBA design for the Navi 32 GPU. Sapphire is the only company that has announced an MBA model for the RX 7800 XT. Sapphire plans to offer various series, including NITRO+, PURE, and PULSE, indicating a comprehensive product lineup.
The RX 7800 XT MBA design from Sapphire seems to have no visible changes compared to the MBA design. It’s worth noting that all MBA cards, whether from an AIB or directly from AMD, are essentially the same cards with potentially different branding stickers while maintaining identical core components.
The availability of AMD MBA RX 7800 XT series from other manufacturers is uncertain at this time, as there are no indications of similar designs from companies other than Sapphire. It’s important to highlight that this reference design is currently being evaluated by reviewers, and the results will be disclosed tomorrow, just a day before the official product launch.
