Noctua has launched its highly anticipated next-generation 140mm fan, the NF-A14x25 G2. This new flagship model builds on the success of its award-winning predecessors, the NF-A14 and NF-A12x25, and incorporates innovative technological advancements. The NF-A14x25 G2 features a square-frame design and is made from Sterrox LCP, a high-quality material that enhances its performance. The fan’s Progressive-Bend impeller with winglets, Flow Acceleration Channels, and Centrifugal Turbulator hub, combined with a tip-clearance of only 0.7mm, greatly improve its cooling capabilities while maintaining its quiet operation.
Noctua CEO, Roland Mossig, expressed his pride in the fan’s development, stating, “After almost a decade of work, we’re proud of the substantial performance uplift we have achieved with this fan. The NF-A14x25 G2 is our most advanced fan to date, and we believe its significant improvements in performance-to-noise efficiency will greatly benefit our customers.” The NF-A14x25 G2 is a versatile fan that excels in various applications, whether it be low-impedance, airflow-oriented scenarios like case cooling or high-impedance, Static Pressure demanding situations such as on heatsinks and water cooling radiators.
To further optimize its performance, the NF-A14x25 G2 comes with an NA-AVG2-LR anti-vibration gasket pre-installed, ensuring a tighter seal on radiators. Additionally, its AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame can be combined with the optional NA-IS1-14 inlet spacer, which enhances suction acoustics and flow rates in challenging intake configurations. The fan’s new ultra-low-loss etaPERF motor, equipped with Smooth Commutation Drive 2 technology, provides exceptional energy efficiency and running smoothness. The SupraTorque feature allows the fan to maintain its desired speed even when working against back pressure, resulting in improved performance on heatsinks and radiators.
The NF-A14x25 G2 is available in three versions: a standard PWM version with a maximum speed of 1500rpm, an ultra-quiet LS-PWM version with up to 800rpm, and an Sx2-PP set that includes two fans with an offset in speed by +/- ~25rpm. This speed offset proves beneficial in push-pull operation and situations where multiple fans are operating side by side, preventing unwanted acoustic interaction phenomena. The fan is also equipped with Noctua’s reference-class SSO2 bearing and comes with a comprehensive bundle of accessories and a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The NF-A14x25 G2 sets a new standard within Noctua’s product lineup, showcasing superior performance, construction, and state-of-the-art materials. With its exceptional features and premium quality, it is an elite choice for customers with the most discerning demands.

Technology Explained
PWM: Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is a type of technology used in the computer industry that allows for control over pulse and frequency. It works by modulating an output signal’s pulse width or duty cycle to vary the on and off times of the signal. This technology can be used to control and regulate different DC motor, lighting, and other devices. In the computer industry, PWM is often used to control the speed of CPU and GPU fan speeds for improved cooling. It is also used to control backlighting levels on devices such as keyboards or monitors. PWM is versatile, cost-effective, and efficient; as such, it is an important technology in the computer industry.

Static Pressure: Static Pressure is a technology used in the computer industry to measure the amount of pressure that is applied to a given area. It is used to measure the pressure of air or liquid that is applied to a surface. This technology is used in the computer industry to measure the pressure of air that is used to cool the components of a computer. It is also used to measure the pressure of liquid that is used to cool the components of a computer. Static Pressure is used to ensure that the components of a computer are not damaged due to excessive pressure. This technology is also used to measure the pressure of air that is used to power the fans of a computer. This helps to ensure that the fans are running at the correct speed and are not causing any damage to the components of the computer.
