MiTAC and TYAN have partnered to introduce server systems and motherboards at COMPUTEX 2024, featuring the latest Intel Xeon 6 processors and 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, optimized for AI, HPC, cloud, and enterprise workloads.

MiTAC Computing Technology, a subsidiary of MiTAC Holdings Corp, has joined forces with TYAN, a leading server platform design manufacturer, to introduce their latest server systems and motherboards at Computex 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan. These solutions are optimized for AI, HPC, cloud, and enterprise workloads, and are powered by the latest Intel Xeon 6 processor and 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors.

Rick Hwang, President of MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that MiTAC has been at the forefront of server technology innovation for over a decade. By integrating Intel’s latest Xeon 6 processors into their server platforms, MiTAC and TYAN are able to enhance AI performance, improve efficiency, and scale cloud operations. These advancements provide their customers with a competitive edge through superior performance and optimized total cost of ownership.

The Intel Xeon 6 processors introduce two classes of processors to meet diverse requirements. The Efficient-cores (E-Cores) offer high core density and exceptional performance per watt, making them ideal for cloud-scale workloads that demand high throughput. On the other hand, the Performance-cores (P-Cores) excel in a wide range of workloads and provide better AI performance than other CPUs. The P-cores also come with built-in accelerators that boost performance and efficiency for targeted workloads.

MiTAC presents two new dual-socket server platforms powered by Intel Xeon 6 processors. The TX86-E7148, codenamed “Katmai Pass,” is tailored for HPC and AI workloads and supports both air and Liquid Cooling. The TX77A-E7142, codenamed “Deer Creek Pass,” is a full-featured, performance-optimized platform designed for data-intensive applications.

TYAN introduces three Intel Xeon 6-based server products at COMPUTEX. The Thunder HX FT83B-B7149 is a powerful 4U dual-socket server platform specifically designed for massive-parallel AI and HPC workloads. The Thunder CX GC73A-B5660 is a single-socket 1U server with 12 hot-swap NVMe U.2 drive bays, perfect for on-premises edge compute/storage applications. Lastly, the Tempest HX S5662 is a single-socket AI server motherboard in standard CEB form factor, built to accommodate multiple GPU cards.

In addition to the Intel Xeon 6 processors, MiTAC and TYAN also showcase their 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor server platforms. These platforms deliver exceptional computing performance, enhanced AI capabilities, and improved memory throughput. TYAN offers a range of products, including deskside AI servers, density servers for space-constrained data centers, and mainstream 2U dual-socket storage servers.

Furthermore, MiTAC and TYAN present industry-standard motherboards that support the 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon CPUs. These motherboards are designed for various use cases, such as deploying multiple GPU cards or supporting high data IOPs.

MiTAC and TYAN also offer other solutions to cater to different needs. For example, the TYAN Thunder CX GX40-B5573 is a cost-effective edge computing server system designed for cloud and on-premises computing. Additionally, MiTAC presents the WS1S11 (Whitestone2), an O-RAN DU server that supports 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors and features advanced functionalities like IEEE1588 time sync and dual -48VDC power input.
