Sharkoon Technologies, a international supplier of top-notch PC components and peripherals, has recently launched its latest creation, the SKILLER SGK40. This three-block keyboard boasts an impressive aluminium housing, making it a prime choice for gamers. With its “Edge Light” illumination and comprehensive gaming software, the SKILLER SGK40 aims to deliver an exceptional gaming experience.
One of the standout features of the SKILLER SGK40 is its Edge Light, an LED strip located on the back of the keyboard’s diamond-cut aluminium housing. This not only adds a unique RGB highlight but also enhances the overall illumination of the keys. Users can fully customize the lighting effects of both the keys and the Edge Light through the downloadable software, allowing for a personalized gaming setup. And for those who prefer a more subdued look, the illumination can be completely turned off.
In addition to its striking design, Sharkoon has prioritized gaming performance with the SKILLER SGK40. The keyboard comes equipped with pre-installed linear red switches from Huano, providing a smooth and responsive typing experience. These switches require a low actuation force of 45 grams and have a short distance of two millimeters to the actuation point. With a stated operating life cycle of at least 50 million keystrokes, durability is clearly a key focus.
The SKILLER SGK40 doesn’t stop at its physical features; it also offers a range of comprehensive gaming features through its software. Users can take advantage of dedicated function keys for media control and customize various aspects of the keyboard to suit their preferences. The software even allows for the creation of complex macros, with up to 391 recorded actions in total. These macros can be assigned to any of the 20 game profiles available, ensuring seamless gameplay tailored to individual needs. Additionally, users can assign important macros to separate keys for quick deployment during intense gaming sessions.
For those interested in getting their hands on the SKILLER SGK40, it is currently available in black. However, Sharkoon has plans to release a white version soon, catering to those with brighter-colored setups. The keyboard is priced at €59.90, as suggested by the manufacturer. With its impressive features and reasonable price point, the SKILLER SGK40 is certainly worth considering for gamers seeking a high-performance keyboard.
