EK, the premium water-cooling gear manufacturer, is introducing a new universal distribution plate called the EK-QuantumX Loophole Distroplate D5 PWM. This distroplate offers a unique level of flexibility and customizability, allowing users to create their own coolant routing paths using micro 90-degree angled adapters and fittings. It is designed to fit almost any modern PC case with its universal mounting on 140mm fan holes. Unlike many other distroplates, this product does not feature LED illumination.

The EK-QuantumX Loophole Distroplate D5 PWM is a custom water-cooling reservoir, routing, and pump solution that can be mounted on 140mm fan patterns inside the chassis. It stands out from other distroplates as it does not have pre-made channels for coolant routing, but rather allows users to build their own channels.

This distroplate can be mounted on various 280mm (2x140mm) mounting points and can be angled using brackets (sold separately) to fit 90° to a 120mm or 140mm fan mount. It is part of the QuantumX Line, catering to enthusiasts who want a unique aesthetic. The product comes in two finishes: silver and black.

The EK-QuantumX Loophole Distroplate D5 PWM features an anodized aluminum frame and includes a pump, reservoir, and a total of 34 industry-standard G1/4″ threaded ports. The connection within the distroplate is made using micro adapters, fittings, and tubes. EK recommends using their Torque Series products for compatibility and to ensure proper fitting height.

The distroplate comes with a powerful yet silent PWM-controlled D5 pump. The latest G3 variant of the pump includes a SATA power connector, following the trend of reducing the use of 4-pin Molex cables in the PC industry. The pump is covered by the EK-Quantum Convection Aluminum Cover, which enhances the aesthetics and features a convenient cable routing hole for a cleaner look.

EK-Matrix7 Compliance is a standardization initiative by EK that ensures compatibility and ease of assembly between different Liquid Cooling components. The EK-Quantum distribution plates follow this standard, allowing seamless integration with other EK products such as GPU water blocks, backplates, and radiators. This simplifies the planning and assembly process for water-cooled builds.

The EK-QuantumX Loophole Distroplate D5 PWM is available for pre-order through the EK Webshop and partner reseller network. It is expected to ship in early December 2023. The suggested retail price for both the black and silver versions is 460.90€, VAT included.
