Introducing Epic First Run, a new exclusive program on the Epic Games Store that aims to empower third-party developers and publishers. This opt-in program allows participants to register through the self-publishing flow in the Epic Developer portal. But that’s not all – Epic Games is also introducing Now On Epic, an exciting back catalog incentive program for developers and publishers to bring their previously released products to the Epic Games Store.

Now On Epic offers participants a fantastic opportunity to boost their net revenue from user spending on eligible products. For the first six months on the store, all payments processed by Epic Games will result in a revenue split of 100% for developers and publishers. This is a significant increase from the industry standard 88% / 12% split. After this initial six-month period, participating titles will continue to benefit from Epic’s generous revenue split.

The Epic Games Store boasts a massive global audience with over 230 million players and 68 million monthly active users. By releasing back-catalog content on the store, developers and publishers can tap into new audiences and ensure that their content is consistently discovered by players. Additionally, participants can take advantage of publisher and franchise sale opportunities to maximize their success during the first six months on the Epic Games Store.

To participate in this program, developers and publishers must commit to releasing a minimum of three products that have already been released prior to October 31, 2023, and are currently live on another third-party PC storefront or included in a third-party subscription service. If they don’t have three live products that meet these criteria, they must bring over all of their live products. All participating products must launch on the Epic Games Store by June 30, 2025.

Now On Epic is an enticing program that allows developers and publishers to enjoy a revenue share of 100% for their eligible products during the first six months after release on the Epic Games Store. This includes any games released before October 31, 2023, on another third-party PC store or included in a third-party subscription service. After the six-month period, the revenue share reverts to Epic’s industry-leading 88% / 12%.

Enrollment for the Now On Epic program is open until December 31, 2024, and all eligible products must be released on the Epic Games Store by June 30, 2025.

Who can participate in this exciting program? It is open to developers and publishers with registered Epic Games developer accounts who have eligible products that launched on another storefront or service before October 31, 2023.

Wondering which products are eligible for the Now On Epic program? If they have fewer than three, they must bring all of their products to the Epic Games Store.
