Get Ready for the Mizutsune!

Now, let’s talk about what’s next for Monster Hunter Wilds. We’re thrilled to unveil the first Free Title Update, and it’s bringing a fan-favorite back into the spotlight: the graceful Leviathan, Mizutsune. This creature is as mesmerizing as it is menacing, gliding through the water like it’s dancing while launching debilitating bubbles at unsuspecting foes.

Are you ready to gear up and take on Mizutsune for the first time in Wilds? You’ll also have the chance to forge some stylish new armor sets for both your hunter and your trusty Palico. Plus, an eight-star Tempered Mizutsune will be lurking out there, waiting for a worthy opponent. To kick off this hunt, just chat with Kanya at the Scarlet Forest Base Camp if you’re Hunter Rank (HR) 21 or above.

Arch-Tempered Rey DAU: Are You Up for the Challenge?

Think you’ve faced the toughest challenges in Monster Hunter Wilds? Think again! With Free Title Update 1, we’re introducing an even more formidable foe: the Arch-tempered Rey Dau. This beast will be waiting for you in an Event Quest starting Tuesday, April 30, but only if you’ve reached HR 50 or higher.

Hunting down Arch-tempered Rey Dau means you’ll be able to forge new Rey Dau γ (gamma) and Felyne Rey Dau γ (gamma) sets. So, polish those skills and prepare your gear because this new challenge is not for the faint of heart!

Zoh Shia Returns: More Opportunities for Epic Hunts

But wait, there’s more! The fearsome Zoh Shia is back in High Rank with this update. Previously, hunters could only face Zoh Shia once during the story, but now you can take on this beast repeatedly. After the update drops on April 4, a new mission will unlock for hunters at HR 50 and above. Plus, Zoh Shia might make a surprise appearance during the Wyvern’s Wakening in the Ruins of Wyveria. And yes, you’ll want to collect those materials to craft some brand-new High Rank gear for both you and your Palico.

Introducing the Grand Hub: A Social Space for Hunters

Say hello to the Grand Hub, your new go-to social space for all things hunting. This locale isn’t just a pretty backdrop; it’s a vibrant community hub where you can connect with other hunters, chat it up, and engage in unique activities. As night falls, listen for the Diva singing her heart out in this sacred space of Suja.

And for those looking to blow off some steam, how about some bowling? Yes, you heard that right! Try your hand at the new Barrel Bowling mini-game, where you’ll roll barrel bombs into targets for a chance to win useful items and pendants for your hunts. You can access the Grand Hub once you hit Hunter Rank 16, just by talking to Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

Compete in the Arena: Speed Meets Strategy

For the competitive spirits out there, Arena Quests are making a comeback! Team up with a buddy and see how quickly you can complete your quests using predetermined equipment. Want to see how you stack up against hunters worldwide? Check the rankings at the Expedition Record Board and aim for the top!

Also, keep an eye out for special limited-time Challenge Quests where you can earn pendants based on your performance. Free Challenge Quests are a new addition, allowing for up to four players with no equipment restrictions. Bring your friends and tackle these quests together!

Customize Alma and More!

In this update, you’ll also get the option to change Alma’s outfit through the camp’s Appearance Menu. Complete specific side missions to switch up her glasses too. Plus, a free outfit for Alma will be available, so don’t miss out on trying it out!

DLC and Events Coming Your Way

Speaking of customization, keep an eye on the Playstation Store for downloadable content. You can snag an outfit for Alma and classic gestures from the Monster Hunter series as free DLC with the release of Free Title Update 1. If you’re feeling fancy, the paid Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will also be available, either through the Premium Deluxe Edition or as a separate purchase.

And mark your calendars for the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance from April 23 to May 7. Expect a festive atmosphere in the Grand Hub, complete with new decor, food, and limited-time equipment and gestures.
