Amazon has released the Alexa+, a new personal assistant powered by AI and seamlessly integrated with various platforms, offering users a natural conversational tone and personalized responses, available for free to Amazon Prime users in the US.
- Seamless integration with Amazon Bedrock and access to various AI models
- Capable of engaging in fluid and dynamic conversations with personalized responses
- Ability to manage calendars, create summaries, retrieve information, and more
After months of speculation and delays, Amazon has finally launched its latest generation of Alexa, the Alexa+. This new personal assistant from Amazon harnesses the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance user interactions and provide even more capabilities.
The Alexa+ seamlessly integrates with Amazon Bedrock and has access to Amazon’s Nova models as well as various Anthropic models. According to Amazon, the Alexa+ is capable of engaging in fluid and dynamic conversations with a natural conversational tone. It can understand the context of questions and provide personalized responses tailored to each user. It even has the ability to remember details for future reference.
But that’s not all. The Alexa+ can also help manage users’ calendars, create document and email summaries, retrieve various information, and much more. Amazon has also partnered with several US-based companies to improve the assistant’s sources of information.
The Alexa+ can be used on any Amazon Echo device, the Amazon mobile app, and the new web interface. Since it is linked to users’ Amazon accounts, data can be synchronized across different devices as long as they are under the same account.
Additionally, the Alexa+ can integrate with external platforms like Uber and OpenTablet to directly perform actions on these platforms. More integrations are expected to arrive soon, depending on the adoption by other companies.
While the Amazon Alexa+ is priced at $19.99 per month, it will be offered for free to all Amazon Prime users. Currently, the platform is only available in the US, and there is no information yet on when it will be rolled out to other countries.
With the Alexa+, Amazon is taking personal assistants to the next level. Its AI capabilities and seamless integration with various platforms make it a powerful tool for users. Whether you need help managing your schedule, retrieving information, or simply engaging in natural conversations, the Alexa+ has got you covered. So, get ready to experience a whole new level of interaction with your devices.
