Corsair has announced an update to its popular RMx series of power supplies, incorporating several improvements and new features. The RMx series now complies with ATX 3.1 standards and includes a native ATX 12V-2×6 connector, a manual fan speed control knob, and other enhancements. With a Gold-certified efficiency of up to 91% and an A+ noise rating from Cybenetics, the RMx series remains one of the quietest and most reliable power supplies on the market.
The new electrical design of the RMx series includes a six-layer PCB for improved thermal and electrical performance, as well as an upgraded fan. The power supplies feature 100% Japanese electrolytic capacitors and can deliver their rated power output even under high-stress conditions. The 140mm Fluid-Dynamic Bearing fan, with its magnetic dome structure, ensures efficient cooling and longevity. Users can also override the fan curve using the manual fan override knob located on the rear of the unit.
The RMx series is available in 750W, 850W, and 1000W models, all of which are fully ATX 3.1 compliant. The power supplies come with fully modular, ultra-flexible embossed cables that simplify cable routing, even in challenging PC builds. The cables are sleek and capable of making tight bends, allowing for easy concealment. The 12V-2×6 cable includes low-profile combs for a clean look that complements the GPU.
