Other AI server solutions on display included DDR5 RDIMM and MCR DIMM.

SK hynix also exhibited its enterprise SSDs (eSSD), including the PS1010 and PE9010. The PCIe Gen 5-based PS1010, with its rapid sequential read speed, is ideal for AI, big data, and machine learning applications. Solidigm, SK hynix’s U.S. subsidiary, added to the eSSD lineup with its flagship products D5-P5430 and D5-P5336, offering ultrahigh capacities of up to 30.72 TB and 61.44 TB, respectively.

In line with the growing trend of on-device AI, SK hynix showcased memory solutions for on-device AI PCs. These included the PCIe Gen 5 client SSD PCB01, which boasts the industry’s highest sequential read speed of 14 gigabytes per second (GB/s) and a sequential write speed of 12 GB/s. Other products optimized for on-device AI PCs, such as the next-generation graphic DRAM GDDR7 and LPCAMM2 module solution, were also on display.

Attendees had the opportunity to explore SK hynix’s consumer SSD products as well. The Platinum P51 and Platinum P41, highly reliable consumer SSD solutions, offer excellent speed to enhance PC performance. The Platinum P51, set to be mass-produced later in 2024, features SK hynix’s “Aries” high-performance in-house controller, delivering impressive sequential read speeds of up to 14 GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 12 GB/s. This enables the loading of LLMs required for AI training and inference in less than one second.

SK hynix also launched an updated version of its portable SSD Beetle X31 at the event. This compact and stylish SSD utilizes a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, providing a rapid operation speed of 10 gigabits per second (Gbps). In addition to the existing 512 GB and 1 TB versions, SK hynix plans to release a higher-capacity 2 TB version in the third quarter of 2024.

The exceptional design of SK hynix’s SSD lineup was recognized when its stick-type SSD Tube T31 and heat sink for Platinum P41, Haechi H02, both won the prestigious 2024 Red Dot Design Award in May.

Furthermore, SK hynix highlighted its ESG strategy at the show, emphasizing efforts to enhance the energy efficiency of its products. The company’s range of energy-efficient solutions is particularly suited for improving the sustainability of power-intensive AI applications.

SK hynix remains committed to pushing the boundaries of AI memory and contributing to a future where “Connecting AI” becomes a reality. The company will continue to participate in global conferences to stay at the forefront of the industry and further advance its AI memory capabilities.
