Acer introduces Swift 14 AI Laptop, Its Inaugural Copilot+ PC

Acer has teamed up with Microsoft and Qualcomm Technologies to introduce its first Copilot+ PC, the Swift 14 AI laptop. This collaboration marks the beginning of a new era of AI capabilities and user experiences on Windows 11. The Swift 14 AI comes in multiple device models, all powered by Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus platforms. One of the standout features of these Laptops is their on-device AI processing, made possible by one of the world’s fastest NPUs for laptops.

According to Jerry Kao, COO of Acer Inc., the Swift 14 AI is just the first of many Acer Copilot+ PCs to come. These next-generation AI PCs boast significant advancements in AI processing power, promising exciting new experiences for users. Mark Linton, VP Device Partner Sales at Microsoft Corp., expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with Acer, stating that it brings AI technology to a wide range of Windows PCs, from ultrabooks to gaming rigs. Linton believes that this partnership has resulted in productive, secure, stylish, and affordable PCs that cater to a broad audience.

Kedar Kondap, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Compute & Gaming at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., praised the Swift 14 AI for its remarkable performance and intelligence capabilities. Powered by the Snapdragon X Elite platform, this laptop features the world’s fastest NPU for laptops and high-performance CPU cores. Kondap believes that the Swift 14 AI is a game-changer in the world of AI-enabled laptops, delivering AI, enhanced productivity, and creativity.

The Swift 14 AI is equipped with Snapdragon X Series processors, which are designed to be powerful, intelligent, and power efficient. These processors are built specifically for AI and are among the most advanced processors available for Windows devices. The Swift 14 AI, powered by Snapdragon X Elite, features 12 high-performance CPU cores on a 4 nm process node, an integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU, and a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU capable of 45 TOPS. It also comes with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory and up to 1 TB of NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD for enhanced system performance.

The Swift 14 AI introduces a range of AI-powered features that enhance productivity, creativity, and communication. For example, the Recall feature allows users to easily find anything they have seen on their PC by describing the clues they remember. The explorable timeline enables users to scroll back in time to access previously used apps, documents, or messages. Live Captions with live translations provide automatic speech captions and real-time translations of videos in 44 different languages. These features are designed to spark imagination and creative abilities.

In terms of design, the Swift 14 AI features a sleek Copilot+ PC-exclusive design with an AI icon stamped on the cover and an Activity Indicator on the touchpad. The laptop sports a 14.5-inch WQXGA IPS display with a 120 Hz Refresh Rate and support for 100% sRGB color gamut. It also comes with a 1440p QHD IR webcam, a triple microphone array, and a privacy shutter for enhanced conferencing capabilities.

Sustainability is a key focus for Acer, and the Swift 14 AI reflects this commitment. The device utilizes PCR plastic, ships with 100% recyclable packaging, and has received the EPEAT Gold certification. It also boasts Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity for fast and reliable wireless connections.

The Acer Swift 14 AI (SF14-11) will be available in North America in July, starting at USD 1,099, and in EMEA in June, starting at EUR 1,499. Specific specifications, prices, and availability may vary by region.
