Intel recently made some significant announcements at their Vision 2024 event in Phoenix, AZ. One of the highlights that may have gone unnoticed is the introduction of their 6th Generation Xeon platform, known as Intel Xeon 6. This platform is built on Intel’s 3rd node and will be available in two primary variants: Performance (P) core family based on Sierra Forest architecture and Efficiency (E) core-flavored variant based on Granite Rapids.

Intel is evolving the naming structure and branding for their Xeon lineup as part of their Enterprise AI ecosystem. Intel first introduced their Xeon Scalable processors in 2017 with the launch of the Xeon Platinum 8100 series.
