The first update for Enshrouded, a co-op survival Action RPG, has arrived, featuring new Hollow Halls encounters, performance improvements, and bug fixes.
- New content and features added
- Improved performance and stability
- Community involvement and showcasing of player builds
Greetings, Flameborn! It’s time for some exciting news on Enshrouded, as our first update has finally arrived! Just a few weeks ago, we launched our roadmap, and now we’re already checking off items from the list. As a team, we’re feeling pretty good about it!
With each update, our goal is to bring you new content, features, and improvements, along with the usual fixes and polish. And the highlight of this update is undoubtedly the Hollow Halls. These new encounters will put your skills to the test, so we highly recommend coming prepared with your best food items and campfires for resting during your exploration. While it’s possible to brave these challenges solo, be warned that it will be quite a demanding experience. We suggest bringing along some friends for support. And don’t forget, if you team up with strangers, it’s always a good idea to create a backup of your save files.
Since we’re in Early Access, we’re eagerly awaiting your feedback on the Hollow Halls. Let us know what you think once you’ve had a chance to try them out!
Now, let’s dive into the highlights of our first update. If you’re not in the mood for reading extensive patch notes, here’s a quick rundown:
In Enshrouded, you are Flameborn, the last ember of hope for a dying race. Awaken and embark on a journey to survive the terror of a corrupting fog while reclaiming the lost beauty of your kingdom. This co-op survival Action RPG allows up to 16 players to explore a vast world, conquer formidable bosses, build magnificent halls, and forge their own paths. We want to give a special shout-out to our community members @Chiselchip and @JS_GAME_PARK for allowing us to feature their builds in our video. Be sure to check them out!
Now, let’s take a look at the changelog for this update:
– Version number: 510434
– RENDERING AND PERFORMANCE:
– We’ve further improved performance and stability, which will always be our main focus moving forward.
– Added support for nVidia Reflex, a feature that can be toggled on and off in the graphical settings if your hardware supports it.
– Introduced a new setting in the graphical options to control the sharpness of the image.
– Added an option to enable or disable contact shadows.
– Implemented an option to switch off optional micro spiders (but don’t worry, the big spiders are still around, controlled by tiny spiders in their brains).
– Resolved the 60 Hz issue, ensuring a smooth experience on higher framerates.

But wait, there’s more! We’ve also released a hotfix (Version number: 510814) to address some specific issues. Here’s what it includes:
– Fixed a problem that could prevent the game from launching on AMD Graphics Cards.
– Resolved a rare crash that occurred in large player bases.
– Reverted an increased shroud area to protect existing player bases.
– Fixed an issue where tabbing out with the building hammer in hand would open the build menu and fail to close it upon tabbing back in.
– Addressed a problem with the camera clipping into large enemies during close combat.
That’s all for now! We hope you enjoy this first update. Don’t forget to share your thoughts with us below. Happy gaming, Flameborn!
