QNAP’s PCIe SATA HDD JBOD Storage Enclosure Series releases Petabyte-scale Storage Potential

QNAP Systems has released the TL-Rx00PES-RP series of PCIe JBOD storage enclosures, offering up to 64 Gb/s data transfer speeds and support for up to 192 hard drives with a maximum capacity of 2.9 PB.

QNAP Systems has launched its new PCIe JBOD storage enclosures TL-Rx00PES-RP series, which boast impressive data transfer speeds of up to 64 Gb/s. The TL-Rx00PES-RP series includes two models: the TL-R1600PES-RP with 16 drive bays and the TL-R1200PES-RP with 12 drive bays. These rackmount models are designed to expand existing NAS storage volumes to petabyte-class without the need for RAID-rebuilding on the host NAS. The TL-Rx00PES-RP series supports SATA drives, providing businesses with a wide range of enterprise hard drive options. This makes it an ideal solution for archiving and backing up virtualization applications, surveillance recordings, large data, and multimedia. The TL-Rx00PES-RP series is especially suited for organizations that handle large data sets and require scalable solutions. The turn on/off feature of the TL-Rx00PES-RP series is linked with the host NAS, reducing hardware management tasks for IT staff. To scale up with the TL-Rx00PES-RP series expansion enclosures, the NAS requires storage expansion cards QXP-3X8PES (PCIe Gen 3 x8) or QXP-3X4PES (PCIe Gen 3 x4). The TL-R1600PES-RP can connect up to 12 JBOD units and support a maximum of 192 hard drives, with a maximum capacity of 2.9 PB. The TL-R1200PES-RP can also connect up to 12 JBOD units but supports a maximum of 144 hard drives, with a maximum capacity of 2.0 PB.
