One of the standout features of the TBS-h574TX is its innovative hot-swappable M.2 SSD support, which optimizes the experience for both Mac and Windows PC creators. This feature enhances online video editing, large file transfer, video transcoding, and backup processes. The TBS-h574TX features five E1.S/M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD slots, each with an E1.S to M.2 SSD adapter. This allows users to flexibly install M.2 SSDs or E1.S SSDs for fast RAW file editing. The hot-swappable support for M.2 SSDs, combined with automatic RAID disk replacement, ensures streamlined project workflows without system downtime. The device is powered by the 13th Gen Intel Core hybrid-architecture 12-core and 16-thread processor, delivering massive computing power for multitasking video production. The built-in GPU accelerates video transcoding, while the dual Thunderbolt 4 ports provide direct connectivity to Mac/PC workstations for on-site rough cuts.
The TBS-h574TX also offers built-in 2.5 GbE and 10 GbE ports, allowing for more connected client devices and facilitating cross-team collaboration. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports enable faster import of video materials from external storage to the NASbook or connection of DAS/JBOD for archiving previous video projects. Pre-production teams can conveniently display raw footage from the NASbook on a large screen via the built-in 4K HDMI, making quality reviews easier. Additionally, the TBS-h574TX can back up transcoded small files to myQNAPcloud Storage cloud space, enabling cross-site teams to access, synchronize, and share files effortlessly.
Running on the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system, the TBS-h574TX ensures data integrity and protection. It features self-healing capabilities that automatically detect and repair corrupted data in RAW images. The ZIL with power failure protection allows the NASbook to complete unfinished data writes after a power outage, preventing data corruption. QNAP’s patented QSAL algorithm further enhances data protection by preventing simultaneous multi-SSD failures in an SSD RAID configuration.
