In a recent update, Payday 3 has addressed the initial matchmaking issues that plagued its launch. Thanks to a scheduled maintenance last week, the game’s matchmaking system is now stable and performing well. In fact, in just the past five days, Payday 3 has seen a peak of 124,254 concurrent players, showcasing its popularity among gamers.

To give you a broader perspective, in September 2023 alone, Payday 3 attracted an impressive 3,167,938 unique players. This success is further amplified by the fact that Starbreeze Nebula, the parent company behind Payday 3, boasts a total of 4,538,702 registered users across all its titles.

With these positive developments, Starbreeze is now ready to ramp up its commercial activities surrounding Payday 3. After a brief pause, the company will be focusing on intensifying its efforts to ensure the game’s continued success. In fact, the first update for Payday 3 is set to launch in early October, promising significant improvements to enhance the overall gaming experience.

Then, on Friday, September 29, both the software and hardware of the infrastructure were upgraded. This included the addition of more regional nodes to improve matchmaking speed and create a more robust online service with increased redundancy.
