Last week saw exciting releases with DLSS 2 and ray tracing technology, and this week brings more news, including Lords of the Fallen launching with DLSS 3 support and the Alan Wake 2 GeForce RTX 40 Series Bundle, plus Diablo IV and RoboCop: Rogue City entering their second season and demo, respectively, and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III PC multiplayer beta beginning.

Welcome to our weekly update on the latest advancements in DLSS and Ray Tracing technology in gaming and applications. Last week, we saw exciting releases like The Lamplighters League and Lodestar with DLSS 2, DESORDRE: A Puzzle Game Adventure upgrading to full ray tracing, and Deliver Us Mars adding nVidia Hybrid Ray Tracing Translucency for enhanced graphics. This week, we have more exciting news for you.
Lords of the Fallen, developed by HEXWORKS and CI Games, is set to launch on October 13th with DLSS 3 support. This means that Geforce RTX 40 Series users can push their settings to the max and enjoy multiplied frame rates. In this expansive RPG experience, players embark on a journey as one of the Dark Crusaders, battling through realms of the living and the dead. With AI-powered Frame Generation, GeForce RTX 40 Series gamers can expect frame rate boosts of up to 2.9X on average at 4K resolution with max settings. The performance of the GeForce RTX 4070, 4070 Ti, 4080, and 4090 is impressive, comfortably exceeding 60 FPS, 100 FPS, 120 FPS, and 144 FPS respectively. This ensures that gamers with high Refresh Rate displays can fully immerse themselves in the definitive Lords of the Fallen PC experience.
At lower resolutions, DLSS 3 still provides a significant performance boost. At 2560×1440, DLSS 3 multiplies performance by an average of 2.2X, allowing all GeForce RTX 40 Series desktop GPUs to easily exceed 60 FPS. Even at 1920×1080, gamers can enjoy super fast frame rates thanks to Frame Generation’s 2.1X average performance multiplication.
In other news, we are excited to announce the Alan Wake 2 GeForce RTX 40 Series Bundle. Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 takes players on a supernatural journey enhanced by full ray tracing and accelerated by DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction. With NVIDIA Reflex, gamers can also expect the most responsive gameplay possible. To celebrate this partnership, buyers of eligible GeForce RTX 40 Series Graphics Cards and desktop PCs, or Laptops with select GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPUs, will receive a digital copy of Alan Wake 2 when it releases on October 27th. This offer is available until November 13th.
Moving on to Diablo IV, the DLSS 3-enhanced game is entering its second season on October 17th. Players can unlock and equip 22 vampiric abilities, embark on a new Season Journey, face challenging bosses, and explore new quests and events. Update 1.2.0 will also introduce sweeping changes to Resistances, new Unique items, enhanced mount mechanics, and more. Additionally, Diablo IV will be available on Steam with full cross-play and cross-progression, allowing players to continue their journey across platforms. With DLSS 3, GeForce RTX 40 Series gamers can expect a performance boost of up to 2.5X at 4K resolution, enabling high frame rate gameplay.
RoboCop: Rogue City, launching on November 2nd, offers an exciting first-person shooter experience set between the RoboCop 2 and 3 movies. Ahead of its release, developer Teyon has released a multi-level demo. GeForce RTX 40 Series users can enjoy the demo with DLSS 3 Frame Generation, while other RTX gamers can leverage DLSS 2 for improved performance.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s PC multiplayer beta is set to begin on October 12th. The beta will feature DLSS 2 Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex enhancements. Pre-purchased players can start playing on October 12th, while everyone else can join from October 14th to October 16th. The beta will include a selection of Core Multiplayer maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as well as new maps and features in Ground War mode. In the campaign and full game, GeForce RTX 40 Series gamers can activate DLSS 3 Frame Generation for even faster frame rates.
Lastly, Highrise City, a unique city simulation and tycoon game by Fourexo Entertainment, recently left Early Access with DLSS 2 support. GeForce RTX users can expect high frame rates when pushing settings to the max. If you’re interested, you can try out the DLSS-enhanced demo on Steam.
