Elgato, a subsidiary of Corsair, has launched an innovative virtual platform called Marketplace that is specifically designed for content creators. This platform offers creators a one-stop destination to discover a wide range of digital assets. From plugins to graphics to voice effects, Marketplace provides creators with new avenues to personalize their beloved Elgato devices, including the popular Stream Deck. The platform seamlessly integrates with apps like Wave Link and OBS Studio, simplifying the installation and customization of assets. In a world where virtual landscapes dominate, Marketplace empowers creators to express themselves and shape their identities.
Marketplace boasts an extensive collection of both free and premium products, catering to the diverse needs of creators. Stream Deck users can take advantage of hundreds of plugins that enable them to effortlessly control applications like Discord and Microsoft Teams. Streamers can elevate their brand with stunning graphics created by top designers such as Nerd or Die and OWN3D. Podcasters can enhance their audio by accessing a vast library of voice effects and sounds. Moreover, YouTube editors can leverage the platform’s assortment of video templates and transitions to produce captivating content. Elgato has ambitious plans to expand the ecosystem further in the future by introducing new types of products, including video filters, voice changers, and AR effects.
Exciting news awaits Stream Deck and Wave Link users as well. By creating a Marketplace account, creators can seamlessly link their Elgato apps and enjoy the convenience of quick install. This innovative feature automatically synchronizes various asset types, streamlining the setup process. Within moments, users can explore, install, and start using assets within their favorite applications.
Caleb Leigh, Product Owner of Marketplace, expressed his enthusiasm about this change, stating, “Our aim is to create a seamless and interconnected user experience. We are thrilled to extend this technology to more Elgato apps in the future, such as Camera Hub and EpocCam, and even third-party apps like OBS Studio.”
However, the most significant transformation is in store for community sellers, known as “Makers.” Previously, Makers faced challenges in sharing their digital products across multiple websites, often struggling to find an audience. With the introduction of Marketplace, Makers can now directly reach creators within the apps they frequently use, tapping into a vast pool of potential customers. This opens up numerous opportunities for Makers to gain recognition, establish their brand, and generate income, all through a user-friendly platform. While a comprehensive suite of product tools is still under development, there is already a thriving Maker community actively contributing within Elgato’s Discord.
In the meantime, both creators and Makers can begin exploring Marketplace to unleash their creative potential and discover the endless possibilities it offers.
