Confirms NVIDIA DLSS Support for Starfield, Rolls Out Hotfix Update
Confirms NVIDIA DLSS Support for Starfield
- NVIDIA DLSS support eliminates the need for third-party modifications
- HDR calibration and support for 32:9 ultra-wide monitors
- Built-in mod support (Creations) available across all platforms
nVidia DLSS is set to make its way to Starfield, as confirmed by Bethesda. Just a week after the game’s launch, the developer has announced plans to introduce DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) support in the near future. Alongside this news, Bethesda has also rolled out a new hotfix update, addressing several pressing issues reported by gamers.
One of the most significant additions to the roadmap is the integration of NVIDIA DLSS support, eliminating the need for third-party modifications to enable this technology. However, it remains unclear whether Starfield will receive DLSS2 or DLSS3 support with Frame Generation, and Bethesda has not provided a specific timeline for the implementation of DLSS. Nevertheless, this development is crucial for gamers using NVIDIA hardware, who previously relied on AMD FSR2 for upscaling.
In addition to DLSS support, Bethesda has confirmed that Starfield will offer HDR calibration and support for 32:9 ultra-wide monitors. The development team is actively working with GPU vendors to optimize hardware performance, particularly in the graphics department.
Bethesda expressed their gratitude to players for their support and feedback on Starfield. They assured the community that they are listening to suggestions for improvements and additions to the game. The first update released is a hotfix addressing top issues, with subsequent updates planned to include community-requested features such as brightness and contrast controls, HDR calibration menu, FOV slider, NVIDIA DLSS support, 32:9 ultrawide monitor support, and even an “Eat” button for food.
The developer is also collaborating closely with NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel on driver support, with each update expected to bring stability and performance improvements. Furthermore, Bethesda is working on built-in mod support (Creations) that will be available across all platforms, similar to what they have done with Skyrim and Fallout 4. This comprehensive mod support is scheduled to launch early next year.
It’s worth noting that NVIDIA has recently released an OTA driver update that optimizes the Resizable BAR profile for Starfield, resulting in a 5% performance increase.
