  • Free online access to FICO Credit Score

In response to the demands of avid XBOX players, Microsoft is introducing a new offering that aims to enhance the value they receive from their gaming experiences. Teaming up with Barclays US Consumer Bank, a important co-branded credit card issuer in the United States, Microsoft is proud to unveil the Xbox Mastercard. This credit card, which comes with no annual fee, allows players to earn valuable card points with their everyday purchases, which can then be redeemed for games and add-ons on xbox.com.

The Xbox Mastercard will initially be made available exclusively to members of the Xbox Insiders program in the 50 United States starting from September 21. However, all Xbox players in the country will have access to this exciting offering by 2024. With the Xbox Mastercard, players can earn card points for every dollar spent on a variety of purchases, including Xbox and Microsoft products, eligible streaming services like Netflix and Disney+, and dining delivery services such as Grubhub and DoorDash. For all other everyday purchases, players will still earn a respectable 1x card point.

But that’s not all. Cardmembers will also enjoy a range of additional benefits. To kick things off, they will receive a generous bonus of 5,000 card points (equivalent to a $50 value) after making their first purchase. Furthermore, new Game Pass members will be treated to three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate after their initial purchase. And if they’re already part of the Game Pass family, they can easily gift this perk to a friend for some shared gaming fun.

Adding a touch of personalization, cardmembers can choose from five iconic designs for their Xbox Mastercard, with the option to customize it further by adding their gamertag. The card also offers the convenience of contactless payments and digital wallets, ensuring a seamless and modern payment experience. In addition, cardmembers will have free online access to their FICO Credit Score, allowing them to monitor their credit score and receive alerts whenever it changes. And to provide peace of mind, the Xbox Mastercard offers $0 Fraud Liability protection, meaning cardmembers won’t be held responsible for any unauthorized charges.

To join the Xbox Insider Program and gain access to this exciting opportunity, interested individuals can simply download the Xbox Insider Hub app on their Xbox or Windows PC. More information about the program can be found on the Xbox Insider Program website, and application details can be viewed there as well. Starting from September 21, Xbox Insiders residing in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii will have the chance to apply for the Xbox Mastercard in waves throughout the fall season.

With the introduction of the Xbox Mastercard, Microsoft is demonstrating its commitment to providing players with enhanced value and a more immersive gaming experience. By partnering with Barclays US Consumer Bank, they are able to offer a credit card that rewards players for their everyday purchases and gives them access to a range of exciting benefits. So, if you’re an Xbox enthusiast looking to level up your gaming experience, keep an eye out for the Xbox Mastercard and get ready to unlock a world of rewards.
